The 3C's weren't based in Cali. They were 3 guys who got together at the old CannabisWorld site. Ask the guys at '3C' if they had anything to do with the original S1's we are talking about. I'd have Ghost come and tell you himself but his computer is fucked-up.

This cut went to cali from Florida in the late 90's.
Wasn't called anything when it left cept dog locally.
I got it sent back to me as "the pre 98 bubba" in 2013 from a friend on another forum.
Ran the two Side by side and either I finally found two identical plants or it is the same cut.
Either way it paid for my house and land and is still one of the most requested on the menu.

happenstantially, i came across some katsu bubba at the dispensary
and i am a fan.
the smell and taste have a weird thing.
i DO smell the stereotypical kush thing, but there's this like savory thing. one very prominent part is inescapably like tootsie rolls (i hate tootsie rolls, but this isn't exactly like that... more like something bizarre rather than bad), but also this exotic spice smell... like something out of south asian cuisine? not sure, but i get horror movie vibes from that mystery component if i really smell the unburnt flower while i'm already high.
the tootsie roll component, it gives me flashbacks to chocolope (love that stuff, wasn't married to the smell or taste but the effect was pretty good compared to what else was on the market), makes me think maybe i know what ppl mean when they say it's like chocolate? i used to think i didn't find any chocolate taste (and maybe i should have thought in the direction of chocolate taffy flavored to be like chocolate rather than real chocolate...) i am trailing off here, i think it's the weed;
which brings me to effect:
it's kind of a creeper... i was disappointed at first, and it isn't maybe as potent g/g, in my brain as the stuff i normally try to go for like stardawg or onycd, but i soon found out that it is indeed something good. took about ten or 15 minutes? (i always feel that way about chem stuff, too).
it reminds me of grape ape but less jovial (and more serious, touch introspective, like chem91)... i'm very high, but not very introspective or paranoid, no anxiety or depression whatsoever... like a warm bath of beautiful contentment. the anti- anxiety quality adds to the euphoria, but it's also just a plain old euphoric smoke. veeery nice. full body massage comes to mind, especially my feet (i'm always on them all day, and my one is still healing from a broken pinky toe) which feel like they're straight up undulating, being massaged to sleep right now as i lay here. (wrote that at bedtime)
maybe 75% as potent MEDS- wise as the chemdog stuff generally is (for g.i. stuff, joint pain, and the obvious anxiety) for me, but the foot massage gets the bubba extra credit.
grape ape i liked for its functional and slightly trippy head high... and i feel if i don't overindulge, i'd be just fine in most any situation with this katsu bubba, as well, albeit the A.D.D. symptoms would probably shown up worse cause of the kinda introspective thing, imo.
but this shit is definitely psychedelic, maybe moreso than the ape.
i got lost in the sparkly gravel, taking the trash up under the moon... very spacey. i actually felt myself stewing about some shit, and when i caught myself i immediately was able to lose myself in the passage of life... be in the moment.
getting ready for bed in the dark, i was surprised by closed eye visuals... been awhile since i have had some from weed alone.

i really think those bubba zhuzh or just the chem d and bubba crossed by verdant green would probably produce stinky ass buds of a great, dreamy, psychedelic, puddle- on- the- floor quality... just a guess but i wish i had enough money to eventually try all those and more from vg AND most everything from ace... i'll be 100 and dead before i'll ever be satisfied...

I do have alot of different mother plants yes. Basically it ran it's course. I grew the shit out of it for years. Moved on to other plants. End of the day I have even nicer kushes to grow. I keep it around for sentimental and seed making purposes
The plant I'm looking for, taste like jet fuel on the inhale, candy exhale with a candy/honey coating. It's burpable, I've had a couple katsu since that reminded me of some bubba. I haven't seen the plant I'm looking for so perhaps thats not the one. The plant I'm talking about would happily fetch 500.00 an oz today. I doubt the plant I'm looking for could ever run its course in my garden. For me and I smoke all the og's and different kushes the katsu is superior.

No weed is fetching 500 an oz today lol just not happening. It's the real plant. I got better kushes plain and simple. I ran this plant for 5 years straight. It did me well. Have since moved on. Death Bubba shits on katsu bubba all day every day
