Hey guys, check out my half functional grow box
aloooooottt of it is going to change yet, I am just flowering what is left of the mothers for a bit. looks like she got a little bigger than anticipated. I am experimenting with a 250watt halogen, from what I've read, it sounds like its not a very good idea, we'll see.
How long do you figure I could leave my clones in this clone box? the sprayers are about 6" below the top of the box.... so by the time most of them have 4" roots, they will be sitting on top of the sprayers.... that = bad? cause the roots to rot or anything? I want to leave them in there for as long as possible, and even get some growth started before I switch over to hydro.

ya just wait, it needs a few minor modifications... two cooltubes I have to stuff in there yet... with a fan I dont even have

lights are almost set up, sux i dont have enough time for my hobby to get it all done. but within the week the transplant will happen. some clones have new growth too!!
going to use an isolated airflow path through the cooltubes and not use a filter on it and a 6" vortex.
much more co2 friendly that way, I do have intake and exhaust setup already in the box. I hope the isolated airflow is enough to keep temps down

I am just working on some experiments before I throw all the final touches together. with zero airflow in the box or the tubes hooked in series the temp climbs about 1.5 degrees per hour and in a 8 hour test, it peaked to 89F at the lower portion of the box. today is the final test. the clones also look strong and ready to go, I pruned off the excess and some dying parts and I am almost ready to put the next phase in place

Well, after much failed experimenting this is what I have now.... 12/12. I still do have my two mothers that were seeds, vegged for a while, flowered, revegged, cut/cloned, flowered, vegged again, and are now flowering, and finally a different seed I am trying to grow in just hydro stones, but as if it were soil. I am just playing around, clearly I will have plenty to smoke soon enough anyways. Everything in the towers (only half full) are the clones from pictured before, they looked like toothpicks! and now some of them are a penny in diameter!!
I tried using some root hormone in with the nutes, and learned that I went too crazy packing them full of hydro, and the roots EXPLODED, they are so unnaturally large and taking over the hydro system already (blocking flow, causing overflow leaks if ran for too long) that I wont be playing with root hormone next time! but so far everything has gone as well as it could have, I'm happy with what I have so far with this prototype.

Ihave to move now. everything has been taken care of though. I will post again when I am safe. airplane and everything!! all the stuff is going to be moved and given to someone else. when I get a picture of it, I will share it with the rest of you. from this point on I am no longer doing this
