Only 9....LOL.
This is why I don't bother anymore. Forget time tested diligent work. Nope. Everyone wants a catalog of 100 strains, 91 of which are more or less exactly the same thing.
Whatever happened to QUALITY of quantity???
It took me 6 years to release 3 lines. These hacks pumping out page after page of new seeds every year are exactly that - HACKS.

That or when some start breeding and then looking at their probable death date they tend to not want to sequester themselves to such a small genetic pool and crazy amount of years of life when there is such an amazing array out there.
Most boring shit I have come to notice over the years of growing is anything with an ibl label or that has been strongly worked. Amazing how that works. Who would have thought bland and boring compared to a huge amount of awesome diversity would come from winnowing genes down to the point where everything looks and tastes (or doesn't taste at all) the same.
I used to have a narrow minded view of breeding and what was actually good. Turns out all my favorite lines aren't bred 'proper'. As well as all my favorite cuts. It's really cool though that Skunk #1 breed true though /shrug lol. I think all corn being bland and the same color now about as cool too.
Personally I am grateful for the huge variety breeders put out today. If someone wants to dedicate 6-20 years on a single strain cool beans it has it's place in the market, but I'll take my 'chuckers' that provide variety any day from my first hand experience over the years. And it's not like Karma or many of the people making crosses have completely thrown out breeding. They just don't take it the ocd level it doesn't need to be taken to every time.
One thing I have noticed over the years is all the people growing with book smarts pot I have tried aren't that great in comparison and their business success, forums, and final product tend to show this. Lots of respect for their knowledge though.
