Oh man how did I just notice you were back. I stumbled across this thread not long after I started my first grow when I was 18 (early 2014) and was devastated when I read what happened. Your and many other peoples plants in this thread was what made me go down the path of breeding these wonderful monster plants that most people never get to experience in this day and age

I really regret not having that Kariba surprise, I hope they are still preserved I see some pollen going with the zamal x killer Malawi seeds I have (original zamaladica femmed, no meao thai), an African surprise!

Interesting perspective.
In reality, Nevil ripped off numerous breeders to monetize their work under Nevil’s own seedbank.
He traveled to USA and tried getting NL5 from Greg. When Greg said no, Nevile backdoored Greg by dealing with Jim. Jim sold Nevil NL5XNL2 and Nevil started selling that line as pure NL5.
Being dead does not miraculously transform a person into a saint.
Like when Franco died and everyone forgot how he ripped off natives to make the Russian Mob even richer (Strainhunters).

I'm sure Nevil wouldn't want them genetics lost forever. I mean unless he has a son who is into cannabis breeding.
My only problem is the price! Lol, probably end up costing me $200 for 10 seeds. As much as I would love to try Neville's Haze x Oaxacan I'd rather buy Neville's Haze for less and get 18+ seeds.
Im with you on reproducing the lines Captain Dankness. How often have we wanted to grow a line of a defunct breeder either through death, prison, or quitting breeding, only to find that they're no longer available. And no one bothered to reproduce the line when it was available. Id rather someone reproduce these lines than let them simply die out and become forever unavailable.
Now the price is absurd though. Probably more expensive than when they were available originally. I think if you're going to pay any kind of homage to a now gone breeders work with a reproduction, then they should be at a price that most people can afford. Id never shell out $200 for a pack of seeds, but clearly there are people who will, which is why the price is so high.

People pay 150+ all the time for snowhigh's gear so not surprised people are willing to pay around the same amount for other heirloom genetics. Silly to spend that much on seeds when there are many MANY cheaper options but alas some people can never stop chasing that dragon/carrot.
He does have kids. I don't think they are into it like he was though.
Several times Nevil encouraged me to get the Mango Haze seeds Shanti was selling, and I finally did. Im glad I did too. He said it had very special Terpenes and was a parallel line to SSH. He said get them now, before something happens to the current parents, and something changes. They were giant plants with fat colas all the way up. I made bank off that harvest, and everybody loved the smoke. Real Mango flavor, and super strong. I crossed the best male to a real old s1 of the Original OG Kush, and this is what I got
Its still my favorite plant, and Ive been running it non stop for many years. It has a scary high at first, for maybe 20 minutes. It has a super strong head high, but also sets in to your chest, and heart. It feels great. Like your chest is relaxed and tingling at the same time. The whole room changes around you after only one hit. Real mango flavor on top of the very first real OG flavor. Ive never had anything like it.

I always got along with him. He really didn't talk much shit about others to me, even if I brought something up. He would change the subject to something else
