Hi ya Scoobie....Thanks mate, my wishes are the same as yours:jump:

I need to do a lot more testing yet to really decide what i will do, I have a very good friend in NorCal growing some Mullum x Mazar that I did last year and so far reports are good with the plants in the 15ft mark and starting to flower. He also said that the internode spacing is excellent and it looks like the yield will be insane. I will also be doing them as well, along with Oax WW x Mazar and Oax WW x SSH, MM x SSH and MM WW x SSH.
If all these are in the flowering range that will do well indoors I will be happy. I still have a clone from that SSH and I have a couple of others that have excellent resin and are very strong that I might put these crosses over.
So as you can see lots of work to do yet before I am happy that they can be grown anywhere.

Here are some pics of the MM and Maz. I used 2 maz males to do the cross.

Good growing and may all be healthy:gday:

Hi Bundy.....Thanx mate. I cant wait to do that cross this season, so far all the crosses I did using that Mazar are just powering:dance013:

Hey Scoobie....Yeah mate it is the only way to go. Sometimes it can take years before you get it right. I tend to like the crosses to be IBL's as well so that all plants are uniform and nobody is disappointed.

I grew out some Black Widows last season as I used the WW in some crosses I did in the 90's and all those were excellent.
I believe this BW I found leans towards the Colombian side of the strain, anyway it is a awesome smoke and I have crossed it with a few other things.
Here is a pic of it flowering this winter, still got a way to go yet, but looking nice.

Hi ya Bushy.....My thoughts exactly, the summer buds got lost in the mix, so I should get a bit off these ones to test:tiphat:

Hey ya Rezinfingerz.....Sorry mate I didnt have any males to the Malawi, but I still have a few seeds that I will do later in the season when I know what sort of weather we are going to have.
The Female I had wasnt that strong, well compared to what I am used to, but I put that down to the weather.
The only thing that was excellent was the Kariba and even that went a bit strange.
I have all Afropip's original Africans, so when I can I will get on to making some seed.

Hey Kangativa, so you've the black widow outside now? How many hours light you got in winter where you are? Will anything bred to veg at 18hrs go into flower straight away any time of the year in your climate?

Yeah mate.....She should finish around October.
We have a variation of about 2hrs either way for our light hrs, so it make it possible to do 3 starts and 3 harvests, as for the last Q dont really know mate, hard to say until I try something like that.

Thats sweet man, only get 1 or 2 harvests if im lucky outside here in Ireland. I think our summer temps are lower than yours now :) Heading down that way in October to do some wwoofing on a permaculture farm. Anything bred for outdoors up here at home starts to flower at about 16hrs light, so I've a good feeling they'll be small quick finishing plants in Oz.
Have you ever tried starting the MM at a later or earlier time of the year to avoid those May rains or does it work like that?

Hi mate.....Sounds like a good trip, I spent a bit of time visiting Bill Moloson's place when I was doing a permicultre course, but that was in the early 80's so i bet it is excellent now.
With the Mullum if you start it later it will finish later, but with smaller buds. I have started in Feb here and it finished July and still got to 2mt.
I really like to grow this plant full term as it makes for a better stone, definitely not a plant for early maturity.

Well with the 2011 - 12 season in full swing now things are looking pretty good with the seedlings around 12'' and looking the best ever, I hope for a good year.
Something that was worked on over the end of summer and during winter was crosses done using NL#5 x Skunk plus NL#5 x Affie, chosen out of these 2 strains was both Males and females leaning towards the NL#5. Males were taken from the Skunk and crossed to the Affie and visa versa. Pollen was also stored from a very Resinous Affie and so far the pollen as worked up to 5 months old. Also kept was the 2 best females from each strain, although one female from the NL x Affie was kept because of its pure potency, even though bud structure was not that solid.

Some other things done were crosses to a very special SSH using males from the Mullum, Mullum x WW and Oax x WW.
Plus Mazar x Mullum, Mazar x Oax WW and Mazar x Lemon Skunk.
Also being looked at is Shit and Nordle from Mr Nice and some more very special SSH's chosen from a selection of 150 plants.
I also think there might be a cross between Nev Haze f1 males and the African Kariba Surprise of which 2 females were chosen for pollination and possibly the same males over the Highland Oaxacan, just dont know if the seed will be ready in time for a full season grow on these two crosses.
Trainwreck is also being looked at.
After testing all the Highland Oaxacan that I have 1 was chosen that rated 8.5-9 on the potency and trippyness chart:dance013:.
The Thai will again be grow from clone and possibly crossed to the Mazar, I believe this will be the perfect pure landrace cross.
Ok I will start putting up some seedling pics soon......stay well everybody.....K

It sounds like you're gonna have alot of fun with all those crosses. Ive played around a bit with Shit before so I can give you a little info on it. I crossed two males chosen from 12 to Sam's Skunk Haze, and the Shaze mom dominated in most of her children. Only 2 out of 13 females had bud structure like Shit, and the Shit smells were overpowered by SkunkHaze except for a few specimens, but those specimens smell great. Shit did increase bud density on most of the SkunkHaze dominant plants, so Im still happy with it. I just wish I had a male that passed on more of the Shit traits I was looking for. Perhaps you'll find one if you go with Shit.

Now Potency is just fine 7.5/10, but with what you have to sample, I would say you'd be better off using something with more kick than Shit. Perhaps the Nordle would be better suited.

Hi Leeroy.....Cheers mate glad you like them:thank you:
I am hoping that there will be some more special stuff this year as a lot of work has gone into these crosses over winter.

Hi Dave ...Thanx for that mate, I am really just looking for a special female and lucky enough I have someone who can sniff it out. I also have plenty of seed to find it, so fingers crossed.
Sounds like a good cross you did, I dont have any of Sams stuff, but I always here good reports on it.....I know someone that always say's the work he did on his skunk was excellent.
I have a friend that is always asking about the Nordle so that is why I have decided to grow that this season.....hopefully I will find a good med strain in amongst these:dance013:
