Kanga, you a such a great inspiration with your grows. Thanks for sharing.

Thanx mate:tiphat:....I must say I am really enjoying this year with all the different strains.
Hasnt been easy, but that is life and mother nature. I just hope it is one of those nice dry finishes we get and then it is all worth the effort:dance013:

Hi Mate.....Thanx. Yeah it sure is good to see the dry at last, I had to pull the 2 skunks in coz of the wet......ohhh well, they still ended up ok.
Yeah mate I really like this SSH pheno and have been doing a bit of crossing with it. I havent really taken much notice on the smell, but she is pretty sweet.
Hey check out these Thai's and Laos from Gypsy's seeds, they are just showing a couple of pistils and are already 20'.....lol. You can see the top of one over the top of the Swazi Red and that Red is 10'.
Got a MM x WW givening them a run for there money as well.
Hope all is good down there mate.....take care K.

Hey luvaduck.....no worries mate, I hope all goes nice for autum after all that rain....wont hold my breath though and I am preparing for the head hammering from the last of the storms.....all good your way ???

Lol.....I think I will need more than Bushy to smoke test, although Nev can get through it......sometimes:laughing:

I am like you, cant wait to see how these Africans go, I have one Kariba Sup that is flowering a bit earlier than the rest, could be good for a indoor cross.

Ok mate will keep you posted on events as they happen.

Stay well....K

You are an inspiration my brother in many ways.

Classic lines that make me smile i could imagine how you feel,Im lookin forward to a gathering of reports of all your experiences soo hopfully it will be full of detail.

Ive looked in to both seed comapnaines afropips awhile bac n now see its still running but couldnt find african seeds.Luckily some stock is in good hands.ive read the description from BBB2 from Ed R.That kariba surprise sounds like a gem somthin id lov in my jar, those pics at Mns are lovely n that is an early pheno.

I grew some seed i was gifted at the 18th CC in the dam unknown strain atleast i cant recall but it was from a interesting character who sounded more out there at the time b4 i had any knowledge ,he was an outdoor grower n was sayin how outdoor was the best .Anyhow i grew wat i believe was an african hybrid n havin no knowledge cut her down in oct but was blown away by the complexity of taste/ aromas /vigor /yield n effect even premature very premature

i hope those african's will be considered for the grail aswell.

Damn the thai n laos are incredible ,you have what i would call a field of dreams.

i look forward to all your progress and send my best wishes

Hey Kanga, yeah wet as here. Wish sometimes I was further south. Only sometimes though! Luckily the sativas are flowering later, like your gypsy thais. Funny I was just talking to Wally yesterday and he mentioned you had some of them. I thought i should give some a go, but he said they are from a more arid area, which here aint. Similar lattude though. How have they fared with your rain? Can't wait to see how they finish! They're gonna be HUGE!
Much respect

:tiphat:

Are these even doable indoors? Had a good friend from OZ send like three seeds I believe it was. I'd love to run em here in the USA but I don't think my OD region would produce great end results. I'd love to be able to manage em indoors??????

I wouldn't trust that new "Afropips" website. I dont believe it to be legit at all. Multiple seedbanks told me Afroman was closing up shop, and no new stock would be arriving.

It also sells feminized seeds, and thats something Ive never seen for sell by him.

The new website also states that Afroman passed away in 08, but it was actually Afromans son that passed away. This was confirmed to me in an email from Afroman last year. I have a hard time believing Afroman would post something like that.

I wouldn't pick up anything from that website myself.

Kanga isn't the only one that has secured much of Afromans Sativas. Ive got some Swazi Red, Durban Poison, Malawi Gold, and Senegal Haze on its way. Just need to pick up his Nigerian. Hopefully Kangas results with them spur me into popping them.

Im sorry. I thought that sentence would be a bit confusing :). I meant, I have DP, Swazi Red, and Malawi Gold already here with me, and the Senegal Haze was just purchased from a reputable seedbank. One of the last sites Ive seen that still had it in stock.
Nigerian can also be bought from at least one seedbank I know of. Id get it before its gone. Afromans seeds are becoming harder and harder to get now.

I do hope to send some seeds of these strains into the Boutique as freebies down the line someday when I get to breed with them.

Dave,
I know that some references to other sites/seedbanks are not allowed here. How does someone (like myself) who's interested in these strains (and reputable sources) find out where to look? I don't see a way to PM, or anything. But then again, I'm on the net via TOR, so some features of pages sometimes don't show up.

BTW I hope you have the space to grow out those seeds you have. Open pollination would create greatest genetic diversity/save them for the future. - No attitude... Just my .02

Peace,
Bushwacker

Hi Dave.....I dont have the Sengal Haze, but I have the rest of the original stock.
At the moment I have the Swazi Red and Malawi gold going and they are just starting to flower, so unless they are 8 weekers, they are going to be late finishing, possibly June.
Not much smell at the moment, but they both are around 10 ft.
Anyway mate will put up pics when they are more in flower.

Hi IR, I have lived and grown in Mendicino county and I know that most of my strains would have a hard time finishing.

Wow good to see some fellow Aussies kept the afro strains going i had some Malawi Gold but Lost it growing indoors due to mould/overwatering in coco (me being a lazy newbie).

I'm currently planning on moving from S.A. to a better climate for finishing late sativas and to get away from some untrustworthy people who i thought were my mates that ripped my only surviving pollened MG outdoors, and did some other un-tasteful things... just goes to show what "Meth" can do to some people! (enough of my babbling)

I Agree that the new/updated afropips site is a bit suss.

My hope is to acquire these seeds again and successfully do a full organic outdoor grow and keep the MG gene pool alive just as the farmers in Malawi did and as afroman intended!

Hopefully some you you lads have pollenated some of your branches, cos im finding it hard to find a reliable seedbank online that has MG beans.

Seeing MG is around 14-16 weeks i wouldn't expect it to finish until june like you said Kanga, and in S.A it can get quite cold and cloudy around may june especially in the south east and may not have reached its full potential anyway, can't wait to see your pics.

I can't express how much respect i have for the outdoor sativa growers, it seems everywhere i go there is fucked up hydro/indica shit everywhere.

Good luck with finishing your Malawi and other africans kanga, you definitely know your stuff and a true inspiration to me and other Icmag members.

Wish me luck on my new life adventure, and hopefully ill will harvest some of the finest MG / Sativa in the future.

I finally got my Senegal Haze, but I have no clue when Ill actually start them. Maybe in 6 months, and then 6 months later a smoke report..lol.

I hope the Swazi, and MG turn out great. Id love to start mine, but my hands are too full, and my seed collection keeps growing.

Looking forward to pics of them.
