Thanks for the update Terpene :)

I also like a lot the KC line 21 sweet creamy tropical mango aromas,
you will find incense too at the end of the flowering, in the curing and when you burn it.

Damn :) 6.5 weeks!

Yeah, the resins are coming nicely! Our average harvest time for KC line 21 is 8-9 weeks, better 9 weeks to get more bud chunkiness, and richer terpenes and resins.

The african cross is coming strong too! ;)

Thanks Dubi. The african pheno is trucking away, though all of the KC variants seem to be very happy, strong, fantastic smelling little plants.

Sure enough, 2 of the 3 KaliChina #21 are finished at 8 weeks of 11/13. The third probably needed another 5 days, but I decided to take the whole screen at once.

STRONG smells of mango, citrus and to a minor degree, hash. My better half walked through the house asking if I plugged in a new air freshener, then realized I was trimming as she walked into the room. "It smells like citrus, mango-ey goodness in here, I had no idea that was pot!" Just fantastic smelling stuff, I cannot wait to pump it into my lungs.

That's one of the main reasons i love so much this strain
Just wait to burn it and to smell the lovely incense smell ;)

Those are beautiful Terpene - excellent work indeed. The purple pheno is spectacular.

My Kali China #6 at 9 week chop, yet again my house smells amazing.

4 phenos came down, 2 are more Yunnan like, 2 are pretty Kali Mist looking. All of the plants smell like citrus-mango, but some lean more toward citrus, others are more incensey, somewhat grilled meat smelling and one has a hint of coffee.

You went 11/13 for the light cycle Terpene? Do you think that was necessary or could a 12/12 work as well?
Those girls were/are very beautiful, smoke report will be interesting, just about to plant some myself :)

I haven't had a chance to smoke the #6, its still drying. I have started smoking #21, though its still curing out: Excellent mango citrus smell, comes through nicely in the smoke, but creamier on the exhale. The high is pretty relaxed and warm on #21, not quite sedative - but very comfortable. Its mentally stimulating, but also makes you a bit dopey as well.

These plants were made for 12/12. Very uniform, hybrid production style growth with a solid smell/taste.

11/13 is a product of my perpetual flowering room where everything from hazes to afgahnis are finished sitting next to each other. Ive found 11/13 is really only needed for the most extreme thin leaf lines to finish. Nearly all other sativas run just fine in 12/12, and some even do well in 13/11! Plants that don't require 11/13 to finish are done 8-10 days faster than a typical 12/12 setup but at the expense of about 8%-10% of final bud size.

13/11 (longer day flowering) only works with broader leaf lines that developed in latitudes outside of the tropics. Your flowering cycles will run longer, usually around 2 weeks longer to finish. A friend of mine setup a timer incorrectly and flowered his plants in 13.5/10.5.

That's very interesting, thanks Terpene. I have a similar set up by the sounds of it and it's always very helpful to get information such as you have provided.

IME you 'win' more time when flowering longer. Somewhere along a week for 10-12 weekers, two weeks for 14-16, three for 18-20 is my current estimate, but it's subjective obviously :)

Hi Terpene,

I'm glad you are enjoying with your first smoking tests of the KC line 21, i also love its complex creamy mango terpene profile and its strong and balanced effect.

I'm surprised the Angola Bangi x Kali China finished in only 8 weeks in your garden, guess must be due use of the LED lamps and the shorter photoperiod.
We tested this hybrid in 2014 and the faster flowering Kali China phenos like yours usually finished in 9 weeks, while the more african sativa phenos took 2 weeks more.

Hi Dubi,
Yeah, I actually ran over to your website to check flowering times and make sure I wasn't being too hasty. One of the plants still had a white hair here and there, but the other three were done.

All of the plants are very similar in structure, very kali china / pck-ish, short side of the bangi. The longest running plant was slightly (maybe 3-4cm) stretchier, but you'd never notice a difference unless you were looking for it. Bud development was also a bit more bangi, but again, I'm splitting hairs.

In 12/12, I'd expect 9-9.5 weeks for the same development. Every time I run a fast finisher, I always debate going back to 12/12. Then I look at my veg cabinet and realize another haze variant is just about to go in - in this case napalm x purple haze malawi.

Since I already know what you're going to ask, its tied down and beginning to get ridiculous. Probably another 2-3 weeks before it gets thrown into flower. Heres a shot:
