Hey all, I just started a bunch of Ace's KaliChinas (finally!) and I wanted to share their development as they cruise through life under the LEDs. For those who haven't tried KaliChina, its all the best parts of China Yunnan (weirdly citrus-orange fruity smelling, happy, positive, feel-good smoke) but more potent, frosty, resilient and "hazey" thanks to the Kali Mist influence. By hazey I mean that there is a slight psychedelic effect to the Kali Mist which reminds me a lot of Ace's purple haze.

So I ran 3 groups of feminized seedlings, KaliChina #6 (front row) / KaliChina x Angola Bangi (middle row) / KaliChina #21 (back row). They're all three weeks old from seed and currently vegging away under a 30w IP66 LED (the same lights in the top half of my veg cab, but lower wattage for the smaller space).

More pictures as they turn into plants!

KaliChina R Us! Congrats, Terpene...sounds like you are re-upping - seems like you have grown/tried KaliChina before. Too cool, I have -for some reason- been obsessing about growing it out...So I took matters in hand and currently have one at about 49 days of 12/12. Beautiful plant! I don't know my phenos but I'm betting she is more along the hazey side of things - at least in appearance. She stretched a bit and continued stretching for several weeks - she's just now beginning to pack on the buds. Long slender leaves -and a lot of 'em. Beautiful! But I have no idea what she is made of - your post was very informative regarding the "head." Can't wait! In the meantime, will be following this avidly. Grow on!!

Thanks for the love Mayan, your pics are always inspiring. You're right, I've run KaliChina x Orient Express which was better overall than Orient Express was on its own. Not the same yield as Orient Express and definitely more stretchy, but the taste / smell / frost all more than made up for the reduced weight.

Thanks Dubi, I'm glad I have the opportunity to run such vigorous genetics.

31 days from seed, my group of Kali China fems are trucking away. KC#6 front row / KC x Angola Bangi middle row / KC#21 back row. They're already starting to get root bound in 1L containers!

6 weeks from seed and I had to repot the three Kali China 21s into a 18L to make space. They're a little on the small side for large veg, but they were starting to get root bound, so I figured why not.

The Kali China 6 (front) and KC x Angola Bangi (rear) are still in 1 liter container in small veg. They'll get repotted in a week or two.

Magnificent. Some beautiful plants there.
Flowering may cause unmentionable stirrings in the trouser area :)

Hey Dubi, the plants are trucking along. I didn't have room in flower as they started to get tall so I had to let them get root bound / top them / strip them of all the large fan leaves to slow them down a bit. They hated me for it, but seem to have rebounded pretty well.

Kali China #21 is about 2 weeks into flower

Kali China #6 is about 3 days into flower

Angola Bangi x Kali China is still vegging (left side) for another 10 days or so. Thats SFV OG middle and Panama on the right. I let them grow into the lights, and then start training as they get nuts. You can see the SFVs have been LST'ed and the Panamas are just about to get roped down.

Hola Terpene,

Kali China line 21 is my favourite line from this reproduction, line 22 comes close.
Both lines produce compact and fast flowering chinese indica shaped plants, with amazing aromas of incense, hash and mango. The effects are also a lot of my liking.

Kali China 6 S1 produces taller sativa plants that are slightly slower to flower (7-10 days more), but the finished product is very nice too.

Best wishes for the flowering process! :)

Thats funny, I was going to say that my KC#6 were taller than the KC#21. This is why the KC#6 is under the LED without a screen - more vertical room. The KC#21 is screened under the CFLs because it didn't seem like it was going to stretch as much.

It is getting legitimately "fruity" smelling in my flower room. The mango-citrus hash smell off the Kali Chinas is fantastic, though pretty strong. Almost smells like I have a platter of fruit salad waiting for me.
