Kali Mist or Western Winds

Clones are going well and the AKBB Kali is in the post
I have a tall spindly NHz that smells very much like burnt hair (a description I read somewhere about an old KM) and I was toying with the idea of pollenating her with AKBB KMist male and putting a resulting male back over WWinds to inject that burnt stubble back in and perhaps improve vigor.... just a thought
If the hybrid from the NHz x KM is good and consistent it might even end there for that particular line since they are both old genetics and may have hybrid vigor... we'll see, just thinking out loud :p
I have a few WWinds clones and at least one will be waiting for some KMist lovin', maybe strengthen the blood line!
The structure of the plant and buds has me quite excited, seems like she will be super easy to grow in my climate :)
Might put the Serious Seeds KM on hold for now since they perhaps worked it towards the Indica side, I'll pull them out later... maybe

@StickyBandit what's the flower time on her so far? And what do you think it will go to? Oranges.......interesting
Not sure of the flowering time on this run but it's not slow. Has almost finished and it's before the Holy Grail Kush so that should give an idea... This isn't a standard grow as I'm making some seeds and that's changed the growth rate and maturity but I plan on running some when this lot comes out. I have 4 clones ready to go!
The oranges description is not like orange juice but a bowl of oranges, it's not a smell I'm familiar with for weed :)

When I spoke to Dave, he said it was a 14 week flowering time and that he selected the generations for the lo g flowering phenos. To me, yours looks quite chunky for a long flowering sativa. I don't doubt it will be fire, he has a solid reputation

Yeah, he sent me an email saying similar, I posted it but I think it's gone...
The shortness of ripening has it's place especially if you can get the effect :)

The way I read it he selected the best regardless of flowering time up to F4 then selected for long flowering from F5
This might have been about the time people started complaining it had become too Indica!

This is an email Dave sent me on 2nd June 2022
"The Kali mist is from 93 stock increased by thelostoros it was f3 , I just picked the best females to make f4 then used the longer run females for f5 , so it’s a 12-13 week sativa leaner "

I'm not about to select for long flowering myself if short flowering results are outstanding, I may end up with two forks...

Edit: guess what just arrived :p

2 years and 3 months after I started this thread and it's still a long way from being complete :p
A little update on the Kali Mist from AKBB
Looks like a boy and a girl although I haven't flipped yet, will be taking clones and flipping today. Will also be making some beans and keeping pollen for future projects
Square stems and some interesting color and staggering of the laterals. Some nice aroma on stem rub too
Pics are of the female
