@dubi Have you considered crossing Thai Chi x Outback Haze?

Not yet, the Outback Haze has been barely introduced into our breeding program. I really like how Thai Chi is in its current F1 stage. My estimation is that crossing Thai Chi to a very Thai-leaning plant like this Outback mother will result in quite raw Thai expressions (rawer landrace combinations from Thai Chiang Mai and Thai in the Outback). I'm looking for refinement with Thai Chi and its potential future hybrids.

Results for such a cross would also depend significantly on the chosen Thai Chi parent plant and how it specifically combines with the Outback mother in the two possible direct combinations: Outback Haze x Thai Chi reversed, or Thai Chi x Outback Haze reversed. Both would need to be evaluated to draw conclusions.

I have the feeling the Outback Haze will combine very well with Golden Tiger, adding three different Thais to the mix.

Thanks for your support @Green Zenit :) hope you like this strain.

For decent yields, I recommend to veg for at least 1 month indoors, and 2 months for outdoor growing.
Thanks a lot! Everything arrived safe! Got some more ACE gear in the color box 🌞.
Will probably go with Kali China , CBD1 and PCK for the outdoor season since I am in the valley and its very humid. Need things that finish rather quick.

Hi @Green Zenit

Check out your bangi haze, if you want a more active/sativa style weed as a balance to your other choices.

Ace website mentions its growable between 0 and 47 latitude and that it was bred in northern spain in a rather moist and cold environment.

FAST FLOWERING STABILIZED SATIVA OF STIMULANT EFFECT, WITH EXCELLENT RESISTANCE AGAINST COLD AND MOLD
You are totally right! I like to think that Bangi would finish where I am 48N. If I am lucky with the October weather of course.
I love sativas high, they only problem later in life is that some give me a strong insomnia. You know something about the come down from the Bangi High?

Yeah, in fact i remember staying up half of the night, rolling around and thinking, when i was consuming bangi haze very late in the evening. :) a bit like too much and too late coffee consumption.
But that happens to me with several sativas that are more on the active/electric side.
I try to consume varieties more on the indica side, IF i vape late and need sleep. i dont remember much of the comedown, but it keeps you active for a while.

Im curios about your grow at 48*and wish you the best of luck!

Hahha! Just like that, like an too late coffee, also I like to think that the time of harvesting plays a lot with it, not very well ripe flowers tend to give me somewhat foggy highs . I love to take them to ripeness full of orange hairs and amber.
Specially because the thing I treat the most with my cannabis is Insomnia.
Thanks for the best wishes and same to you! All the best in this upcoming summer! 😄🌞

Here are some photos of my Kali China with a completely messed up flowering cycle.
Here is the reconstruction of what happened:
24 days after switch I was working on the light and must have switched the timer (was on 11/13) back to veggi mode (3.5 additional hours of light during the night). I did not find out and correct until day 48 after switch, so the sativas in the tent went back to full vegetative grow during these 24 more days. The Kali China, however, was further along in flowering and not much re-veg happened, but flower development stalled.
So now I am here at day 67 after flip (day 19 after "second flip"). The trichomes on the top buds I interpret as a mix of degraded and immature, what do you think? When would you harvest these buds? (the buds further down below are mostly clear, immature trichomes and still developing, so I will let these go longer)
These are pictures of some of the top buds. The small yield is no problem for me. The main top has two peaks

Hi @Common Sense,

Sorry to hear about the flowering interruption. Such ripening imbalances usually affect genetics closer to the equator more than indica strains like Kali China. However, it always has a negative impact on any photoperiod genetics.

The top is really ripe enough despite some pistils reflowering. It's not worth letting the bud overripen just to wait for a few pistils to mature. Post pictures of the lower buds if they are at a different ripening stage, and I will take a look at them.

What do her scents sugest to you ?

Thank you very much @dubi for the quick response and the clear recommendation, I appreciate that. Very helpful, thanks.
Harvested the top buds today and here are some closeups of the structures a level below. I think they can use some more time. Scents are typical Kali China, but a lot of "green" still and not at peak yet, I think.

Thanks a lot for the update @Tranquilidade :) makes me very happy to see pics of this new cross.
Your female looks very tamed like Kali China and not that long flowering.

Hi @Common Sense the lower buds certainly look as ripe as the top ones. An interruption of flowering with a longer photoperiod infuses growing hormones throughout the plant, delaying flowering. This can result in leafier, less dense, and less resinous buds, with terpenes and effects not fully developing to their potential.

Yes, that ist exactly what happened. I will report on the effects after the drying and curing. For now, I book it as an interesting learning experience.
Keep your fingers crossed, a very late clone I took of this plant 33 days after flip has rooted well and ist nicely revegging now outside on my balcony. Took its sweet time to get going, more than a month, but still in time for an outdoor attempt at 48° north.

Curious what happens to the seeds, if the pregnant mother starts reflowering let's say for 2-3 weeks.

The female will still try to ripen the pollinated ovaries through the revegetation process, producing ugly plants with some parts revegging and others not, while still attempting to mature the seeds. Most of the time, it will succeed if the plant is kept healthy.
