Here is some more Dubi. This is KaliChina 21 that was grown in pure cocos. This was an experiment, cos I have never before grown in cocos.
But it's not bad at all.
Had climb on a chair to take picture, cos it was as tall as me 155 cm Smell is green citrusymango.
Ventilation is with one big fan, standing on a floor, temperature 20-25 C, crowded room 3x5 metres... (has also tent for growing, rest of the room for flowering)
Not the best possible condition, too little light only 2x400 W lamps.
Still have some more coming, one really big one, that lost it's headbranch to mold, took it in too late, but sidebranches are doing good
This summer was rubbish here, rainy, cold, not much sunshine and still these plants performed well. Then there was some suprisecold in few nights when temperature plummit to +1-2 C and that did my medical autos, mold mold and mold...it's still very humid outside ans autumn is closing in.Daylight is from 6 to 21.00 now, so it's about time to move everyone in.
Mayan, different times, different veges.First ones germinated when I started this, line 22 in beginning of May.Line 21 a bit later. Two weeks probably.
Then I took them inside to flower when they branched a bit.Last one was the big one and I think it came in about month ago, it's finishing now in two-three weeks.
I'm not so much in to counting days.I look at the plant and decide, it's time.
This one was reeking mushy mango.Am I right when I thin, more thick smell comes from Kali?
I still have one that is almost foxtailing, need to take picture, cos it's quite different.
Good, Koondense. They are the old Kalichinas, that I had few years ago, and it was a good plant too.
I have got over this winterblues when I bought better ledlight, now plants are sturdy and good.I'm going to give another go with KaliChina fems, when I come back from Thailand in february.
Did you happen to notice larger than normal ovules in the Kali china? They could almost be mistaken for very tiny pen head sized seeds but are the ovules that are inside every bract. They crackle when you smoke them. Noticed this on all four Kali China’s I ran recently. Sucks because it’s great high and wonderful smell. Love the way she grows and could really fall in love with this strain if the ovules were not so noticeable in the end product. Would like to note this isn’t a knock on Ace or Dubi in any way as I love their strains. I noticed the large ovules also in my Sweet seeds Jack 47. Not seeds but ovules that don’t shrink enough by harvest. Very strange. Wondering if I’m causing this somehow or what.
I'm just starting my 4th run of KC and haven't seen the problem you describe. For me its been a reliably potent and extremely tasty variety. One of my favorites for sure.
For what i understand, sounds like your plants were pollinated in late flowering , so the ovaries didn't have enough time to produce big seeds, but produced tiny seeds that easily get mixed with the crumbled buds. So there must be a source of pollen. Did you find any hermie sign in your plants or were there any other plants around that could pollinate the plants showing this problem ?
