It's been awhile.

I miss growing AF's.....(awww shucks...I missed you guys too)

Much has changed since I last grew AF's.
The price has tripled. There are a lot more company's making seeds now. The price has tripled. Most of the company's only sell fem's. The price has tripled...

I was also arrested, lost all my seeds, money... (trial and lawyers are fuckin' expensive dudes)

Whats a guy to do?

He finds the cheapest reg seeds he can n' does the best he can with them.

This includes, but is not limited to...the starting, growing, pollen chucking, harvesting of the initial plants in a very small indoor grow cabinet.
Then continued on a much larger scale in the Canadian wilderness.

Where I'm from this type of thing is refereed to as "the big dirty"

This thread is gonna cover it all....and should be a doozy.


Well lets get started. Started soaking in paper towel on March 7th.

On March 11th, 8/10 seeds had cracked.

On March 12th, 9/10 had cracked.

Ya fuckin' ready for this?







On March 13th, 10/10 seeds had cracked.

Have you noticed anything different since plugging in your 600w? I've a few laying around, I might use for a few hours a day when they get a lil' bigger.

I've never sold "product" before. Usually gave it away. Not looking to make a career out of it by any means.

Not greedy either...just want the money back I had to spend (savings), to defend myself against the corrupt fascist's that took away my plants and livelihood in the first place.

...If that makes any sense.

i have not noticed much difference since the 600 watt went in, im thinking there getting there roots down in the larger pots so im hoping they will start to shoot up soon.

i have 3 normal photos in the tent to so it works out ok. the 18/6 is still vegging them and the AF will flower but im not looking forward to the electric bill.

ye man you do what you gotta do to minimize the financial impact. what ever that may be do it. the greedy guys always get caught. stay below the radar and cruise

Everyone was getting tall as fuck...time to do something about it...

I stuck one (the runt) in a yogurt container to see if it flowers any faster then the rest.

Now in .5L containers.

I have to go away for a week...so since nobody will be coming over I don't need to hide the plants...gonna stick 'em in my bedroom under the 600w for the week I'm gone.

Those look nice!! Maybe the price has increased, but so has the potency, the strains, the potency, the size....did I mention potency. Yes, the price has increased.....

Good luck w/ your KC 45s. I tried last year....none came up. Probably a fluke as I'd say
90+% I've grown or have made strains of have popped....like magic!!

Yeah thing is I want/need to pull 2 harvests before the snow flies. And living in Canada...we'll thats fuckin' often lol.

Mix the location, with a guy thats broke/down on his luck....price is a concern. Not yield....numbers will make up for that.

I've learned that starting autos on a strong light from beginning to end with yield you better results.

Also, the lighter the growing medium, the better auto's grow. Even with a weak light, if the roots are allowed to take off, the plant will get bigger and stronger. Your plants in this thread looks like they are lacking a good root system. Hence the reason for the skinny stems.

The medium is just potting soil. Nothing special. That being said though...it hasn't had a chance to compact yet as I've only recently transplanted them to those .5L containers.

The bottom left of that pic is where they've spend their entire life.
It's only lit with a 9w cfl bulb. So when the lil suckers are farthest from the lights they tend to stretch for that light, which I think is my main reason for the stems.

They also share that space with my photo mom plant...and my entries into the yogurt cup challenge....so space is awfully limited in there.

I'm not looking to grow much bud, just make seeds for my OD this year.

Promix is the best you can get for autos. Any local nursery should have it. If not and you can only get potting soil, mixing it with half peat moss will ensure a robust root system. Some potting soils are ok and some and some are way too dense. What kind are you using?

Glad to hear it...cuz' we bought 15 bales of it already and want to get 15 more. Only place thats got it near me is the hydro store an hour away.

I'm using a bag from a company called "Premier". It's a mix of Perlite, soil, n' peatmoss. Made in Canada it says on the bag.

As long as it has some peat moss it should be decent for you. It's the stuff looks like black that is too dense. Miracle grow potting soil is even too dense by itself. Don't ever use scott's potting soil by itself.
