From my understanding when you breed a auto x photo. 25 % of offspring will be full auto and the rest of f1 will be a faster version or semi auto of the photo plant. The ruderalis is there just recessive. But I'm no breeder so maybe someone with more knowledge can clarify more.

I believe semi-auto strains flower under 18/6 but not under 24/0. I may be wrong of course:)

I believe you are right Koondense. Semi- auto is also a term that is miss used a lot as well. If it has auto genes in it, then I think it can be called semi-auto. What you describe above is a photo- sensitive strain than responds quickly to a reduction of light hrs. Which may or may not contain auto-flower genes in it.

sometimes I see to call (normal photoperiodic) "early strains" to "semi autos"

so "early strains" and "strains with some AF=ruderalis gens" (like Sweet Seeds "F1 fast version" strains) but not fully AF strains ARE BOTH semi autos?

lets see

guerilla gold = semi auto!?
mighty might = semi auto?
durban = semi auto?
danish crap = semi auto?
sweet seeds fast version strains = semi auto?
dr greenthumb Iranian landrace 90 day start to finish = semi auto?
dr gt iranian crosses = semi auto?

We are getting away from thread topic. And there are some great semi-autos or whatever you want to call them with LBH.
All I'm saying is semi-auto is a phrase that's thrown around a lot these days and I"m just trying to figure it out.

sorry guys its hard for me to explane in english
but i wil try it a bit..
thise semi-autoflowers start very early flowering they start flowering wen the days of summer get from light hour up get back down ..wen go shorter...
(but also some more factors like they get the high and rootgrow combination of things)
let sey wen you plant a semi-auto in May you wil see them flowering in July. just bit faster than noormale strains .
why semi-autoflowers they grow bigger( 2 meters becorse they have more veg time)than noormale autoflowers and there for yiele more$ (not mine LBH autoflowering haze's those yiele big $ i breed in lot of pure sativa/Haze in there and there for more veg time so go bigger too)
and i see some sey there ruderalis gen in there this is not true !
you can breed indoor strains and select them on early flowering so you get a outdoor strain
photoperiod strains, vegging on a 24 schedule and then pushing the light schedule as far as you dare with the strain.
I have found many strains can tolerate a dark period of 11, 10 and even 9 very well.
same is with autoflowering i see people seying AF=ruderalis gen?
i have autoflowers where no ruderalis gen is in there like a sey about pushing the light schedule as far as you dare with the strain each genaration i sound in early strains i workt with on each time selecting the early ones that some autoflowers come out but also strains like F13 and lot more are found sometimes autoflowering ones ..they only thing is indoor growers dont like that and dont breed them.
hoopyou guys understand wat i try to sey..

Thank you for the information on your strains LBH. So no ruderalis in your auto strains/ semi-auto strains? Either way I love the look of your strains. You breed some amazing strains, keep up the good work. Hopefully I will try your strains next summer.
Cheers GG
