You got to look your best when being rescued, you wouldn't want anyone to think you lost your dignity, because of a little occurrence.Big Boy, the useless neutered male we "inherited" from a neighbor, disappeared for several hours this morning. he normally goes out & comes right back if it's cold, so we were getting worried. twenty minutes ago, i looked out the back window, and what do i see? that dimwit cat, up in a huge oak tree. apparently went on a squirrel safari, and couldn't figure out how to get back down on his own, lol. so i got one of my extension ladders to rescue him. when i got to him, he walked out the branch and (cat owners will understand) sat down to groom himself BEFORE he allowed me to get him down out of the tree...
all too true. both of my cats will go to the door wanting out, meowing. i go to open the door and they'll sit down and look at me like "moron, not YET! i have to lick my feet first..."You got to look your best when being rescued, you wouldn't want anyone to think you lost your dignity, because of a little occurrence.
You were not really rescuing me, just offering a service, that I accepted.
cats (unlike many humans) can learn if you kick them in the ass or step on their tail a few times. mine thought i could see in the dark like they can until i proved otherwise... they don't sit in doorways any more.
Ffs i almost fell over her one time and now i just keep walking slowly and she adapted after we collided a few times.
