Whats good IC, things are getting rolling here for my outdoor season, & today I got my first plants in the ground in 4 years =) Last year I was in the same spot, but I was only in pots. I have some SSH f2's that I picked & ran last summer, I have some LaNina x Shit cuts that I'm looking through for possible keepers, a G13 x Sk f2 that I picked & am running out, I have a Gravity #4 [I think - (NL5xHP) x (NL1 x HP)], and I have a local cut - "Midnight Purple" (or purple midnight or something).
Last year early Aug.

Today.

I'm forcing (6) of 8total LN x Shit cuts & (2) SSH f2 bx1 seedplants by bringing them in at night to a dark extra bedroom & putting them back out ~8:30 in the AM.

Here's the 2 I dug holes for today. Both are SSH f2 selections, one I call Lavenderlicious, the other just SSH, cause the locals say it's dead on a clone that goes around. They look sad because I think they wanted OUT of the 3gal smarties that they were in.

Here's the 3 largest plants that will go in the ground. They are 3 diff. LaNina x Shit, and are all just under 6' in 10gal smarties right now.

Nice looking yard!! What are you feeding them? looks like you could use some more silica for stronger stems, but the plants are growing nice anyways.

Thanks for the love everyone :) I have a long way to go back there, but for me having a thread going is a motivator in and of itself. The holes I dug for those SSHs were way too small, so I 'scaped out a total of ~10' across for both at a depth of 1'-2'+. I also put that Gravity in a nice big hole. My yard has been used before for a lil orchard, but the holes are too close to each other, so I'm sort of planning on digging out the spaces between them, tilling the hole & leveling it all to a 1 or 2 plant trench. The dirt is stupid easy to move here. It is all sandstone/pumice sand and castings. Lil round river stones here and there. I did dig up a plastic 25lb weight plate, though.

The 3 holes/trenches I dug so far are in spots that compost piles & soil mixes once stood, so I didn't amend the soil at all besides mixing in my tasty 'potting' soil. Mostly coco based, a lil compost & peat, lotsa crabshell of different ages, lotsa greensand, lotsa cal-phos, lotsa azomite, a lil rock dust, guanos, fish & fish bone meals. I will be tilling and topdressing future holes with similar ingredients. Here's what they get fed in (recycled/amended soil) pots:
N - SN14 - 14-0-0 soy protein hydrolysate
P - cal-phos & P guano
K - Earthcrew Kelp concentrate (1-0-16) & protekt.
Humisolve(ful-humix) & ful-power frequently at low doses
Also messing around with some samples of seablast (earth juice) & a local bacterial root juice.

What's up B... The back yard is lookin great so far. Can't wait to see it in aug!! What about chuckin. Any plans??
Thought I'd add one note on the gravity #4. It's (hp x nl1) x ( nl5 x nw af giant) the giant was part of the maple leaf wilson line.
Glad to see your well. And lookin forward to the updates.

Whattap, Gb :^) I really don't have anything serious going on as far as pollenchukkin goes. I have a male that I've been cutting back, though. He came from teh same seeds as the SSH 'somethings' that I'm finishing up now. It was seed found in a kickass ssh f2 seedplant that I grew while I was making a few things. It could be a SuperSpice f2 daddy, or could be a Shit f2 daddy, or could have been from selfed flowers on nodes during an aggressive stretch. I'm not sure if you can get regular seed from selfed pollen, but whatever :^P I'm only considering using him because his sisters are sooo close to eachother & to their kickass momma. Not a priority, though. Good looks on the lineage of the Gravity :^)

Been chopping the Lanina x Shit the last week or so. I chopped the #5 (vitaminny) then the #8 (funky lil nugs w/ purple pistils) then the #7 (smells like pork, strong drunken high, pushes male flowers easy). Yesterday I started into the more sensitive of the 2 ssh somethings. Last week we got a few days over 110, and that seemed to want to push the plants towards re-vegging. It pushed nanners on the sensitive LNS #7, and made the 3 most sativa leaning things foxtail a little (not at all like a 95deg indoor room....). Been on straight water for the blooming plants for ~2weeks.

Ok, Shaddap. Pics!! Here is the #8 just before I chopped her. I'm hoping for 6, prolly closer to a QP. The #5 was smaller, and the #7 was a lil bigger. #5 nugs hanging in background.

Lavendarliscious just starting to get her feet set. This is the only one of the 3 in the ground that I have trimmed inside and downlo at all. I did a 1/2 assed trim a few days ago & today I'm planning on trimming everything that isn't in a 10 gallon (plants in the ground, & 3 gallons waiting to get in the ground or up potted)

SSH dun had her feet set!

Uhhh...

Think I need to get these in the ground or what?? Hopefully this week.

Step children. G/Sk is the big one on the leftish & LNS #3's on the right. Midnight purple bushes up front. I plan on forcing an MP & a #3, with the rest going in the ground. Funny growth is because the wind blew em over & they were growing sideways theis AM :^P

Here's the #2 on left & #4 on right back out in the sun. They will be chopped within a week or so.

#6. She's a MONSTAH! Can't wait to see how the #4 & #6 weigh in.

SSH something. This is teh chunkier of the 2 & the one that didn't push new growth due to the heat. Has a mostly candy/cleaner smell with a lil funk in the background.

Hey Barletta I'm a little late to your thread but I brought porkchops!!! The family and I passed through your awesome city a few weeks ago on the way to Boulder. Me and the grandson got yelled at for climbing on a building downtown. Maaaan, it was Saturday!!!
You sure know your flowers. My head is still spinning from all those strains you let fly!
So what did the caterpillars do, and then what did you do?
And how's the local homemade bio-stuff working out?

Tracks - Thanks, the purple pistils seem to come from the Shit dad. I used the same Shit (Sk1 incross I gather...) dad on 3 different females, and seems like the colorful pistils & big chunky buds come from that male. The LN #2 is structurally dead on the LN mom. Its dense, small, triangular/long buds. Those pots have served me well, but I gotta get em in the earth I'm watering 3 times on 90 deg days & all damn day on the hot or windy days.

, Thanks, but it's a lot easier when it's legal & I get 8++ hrs of direct sun a day. :D Man I wish I could take pics of my neighbors places with their tilled, augered, 8' stucco-walled goodness, hahaha!!! The guy across the street has a 'batting cage' in the back yard, haha!!! Baby steps. I'll be happy with a dozen in the dirt. I'm 1/4 of teh way there. The early nugs are for show, those root strangled 8' bushes are for go ;)

- I'm a liiiitle west of boulder. BUT. My town feels a LOT like boulder in the CA central valley, all hippies and tan college snoochies. :p My plants are mostly SSH (nl/hz x sk/hz) or Shit (sk) crosses. The midnight is a local early purple OG thing, the Gravity comes highly recco'd as a clone selection done by qualified eyes from a large population. The g13 x Sk f2 is somethin different. Some people love it, I'm - "..eh.." on it. Plus it wont be done till late Oct. Eh... lol. Who knows if the root juice does anything, lol. The sun is so kickass right now that no matter what I do the plants grow so fast I can hear them. Actually I DO like floralicious plus for bloom & rapid start for clones/young plants. I think both are bacteria based tonics, but I could live with out them. My compost has all the bacteria I'll really need. :)

Hope your weather's good. We have just been approaching the 90's in the MagicTragic City. I can't even think about 100's yet!
Had to nominate that pretty flower LNS#6! Your hard work really shows!

Really really nice. By the looks of things you know your shit real good. Those plants are beautiful. Gonna be some huge monsters with 8 hrs of direct light everyday. I would start tying them down now, or get a bigger fence, lol.
