Today I started working on a plan to block the light coming out of my intakes. I decided to do something where the air would be forced to go around corners but the light would not. I just slapped it together and I'm not all that satisfied with it but you know how it goes after a full day of work then to come home and work on the cab every evening and weekend it's starting to ware me out, I just keep thinking about the bud that will be in this thing, the sooner i finish the better. I'm going to wrap this thing in ALU trim to snazz it up a bit then I'm proubly going to put a mirror or some posters or some sort of book shelf built around it.
I also dropped my seeds into a shot glass full of water. Most of them have sunk to the bottom. Once thats all wrapped up I'm going to put them in a wet
paper towel in a zip lock. Should have some sprouts by mid next week.

A look at the inside, not too complex but i wish i didn't have to go to all this trouble just to stop the light. I would buy some darkroom vents but i allready built this and their is no turning back now.
Sick looking cab! i must say your level of craftmanship is something to aspire to.
looking forward to the grow to see how this all works out.
i'm from wisconsin and we have a strong link to our Badgers so i'll be watching.
btw do a little more info on those cool tubes, they look interesting.
be cool
Thanks for all your replies. Keep em coming. Badgers Rule! Any way Last night i must have been too stoned. I posted a reply and it took me almost 30 minutes of typing/ picture posting. I cant believe i must have previewed the post thought it was good and then x it out before submitting. Thats pretty frustrating. Well anyway i did some more work to the light trap, i also flipped the vents around so the guts are on the outside. Gives my light trap shelves much better clearance. I'm also going to add a backer panel to the light trap box. That will help seal it up nice without having to attach it to the actual cab. Used some HVAC duct tape and some tool box drawer liner to black it out. Should be posting more updates tonight after i get off work. I'm at lunch now so i don't have too much time to post but heres a few pics.
Front view (not even close to finished on the outside.)
View of the inside. Minus the backer panel I'm going to make.
Vents flipped around looks better and works better this way.
More clearance for the shelves.
I picked up some warm whites and cool whites today, going to use both for my veg area. I have three fixtures that hold two bulbs each so i'll use one of each in each fixture.
what bulbs do you plan on for your cab, warm or cool? i think some of both will work best for veg.
I recently watched a video from "pot tv" called "i grow chronic" man it was cool, have you seen it?
OH yea i have seen a few of the shows on pot tv. I don't know if i saw that one but i'll be checking it out after work. I really prefer to use all blue spectrum bulbs in my veg chamber to simulate the same kind of light a metal hallide puts out. I'm going to do some trial and error with floro tubes. I'll post my results. I can't wait to see your setup Sloppy Seconds. I'll post more later today. Peace.
Yea i cant wait to see my set-up as well... i've had some issues with the wife and growing MJ but we'll see how that works out.
i have a room ready 6x10 that i'm going to split in two, 1 veg and 1 flower.
i have it lined with plastic and mylar, ran power for it, bought the lights, one 1000 watt MH and a 400 watt HPS also the four ft flouros i spoke of.
i also have 4 100 watt hps that stand alone for additional lighting.
i have my venting almost worked out, i bought the ferts (fox farm grow big and big bloom) and have the seeds (white widow and skunk special).
i dont have the ability to put photos on here, camera broke.
Well sorry I haven't updated for a few days. I have done some work. I got the cab and light trap stealth out Little more and I also added the backer panel to the light trap. I have 11 shiska berry seedlings going. some of them have been under the light in my keg for a couple of days. I still need to make an adjustable shelf for half of the veg chamber. More updates to come. Peace.
Still more work to do but it fits in with the rest of my place more with all of these posters.
Just an old tray from my fridge and some old box.
The 6 in the back were started weeks ago and the 5 up front were just potted today.
Still Not too much progress. But i did stealth it out a bit more with a skate board to hide the intakes. It sets high enough off of them to not interfere with their functioning. Also had to dump a few of my seedlings, i left them in the paper towel too long. But for the most part these are doing well. Added insulation foil/foam to the wood doors for the top and mid chambers.
Seedlings growing
Insulated door panels
and the board intake cover, it's got designs on it but it's of my local skate shop.
theSCISSORS, Great stuff, I don't mind if you share. Very cool to see your work. I love your layout. I'll keep your thread under watch. Good good stuff. I can't wait to finish my flowering chamber. Peace
Great cabinet, Badgr.
That's some advanced stealth cabinet you've build there. Looks awsome. Great job. Looking forward to seeing those babies of yours grow in there.
Have fun
Did Little more work today. I installed the custom Alu. door frame for the flower chamber. Here is a pic of the little girls (i hope). Enjoy. More updates to come.
Hi Badgr. They come up nicely. Why is it better to grow mothers in soil, u think? I planned to grow my mothers in a large bucket with lots of rockwool and leca. I just love the cleanliness of the hydro.
Did some finishing touches to the veg chamber and started to work on the flowering chamber. Pictures will show all.
Bottom Wood and Metal door frame I made. So the door sits at the right height.
First duct taped all the seams and edges in the flowering chamber then I installed the insulation. In some area's as much a 3 layers thick. Plus I'm going to add poly shield soon.
Put the finishing touches on the veg chamber. Installed that metal looking contact sheet to the floor and walls of the veg cab. Makes cleanup much easer and if I have a little spill then no problem.
I still have much more work to do but my little mothers seem to be growing very fast. Also I'll have to post more about why I like to use soil later.
Well look at the little plants grow. Also a few shot's of the outside of th cab, I had to redo some of the posters and stuff to make the doors operate better. I'm still adding more but for now it's ok. Also added a hepa intake filter behind the skateboard.
Close up of the seedlings.
Cut rim around the inner doors to seal better.
Redid the poster to improve door operation.
Installed hepa intake filter behind skateboard.
Did some organization work to the veg cab today. As you can see their is a lighted clone/ seedlings level above that will be the mid stage veg clone next to that on the slightly lower shelf will be the mid stage veg and the entire left side just for mothers. This was a messy project.
