Hi good evening, i live in Barcelona and i have a real passion about cannabis, i’m really interested to buy the judge pass of all the categories, it is possible? I read that indica flowers, breeders bho and rosin are finished, can i have one of hash and sativa flowers and breeders?
as of right now i still have some of everything, people just need to be really sure they can chew everything they bite off so to speak. taking a judging pass is a contract to judge and vote the entries, so don't order more then you can deal with.

As much as I like to meet new members and Canna-enthusiasts, I´m worried a bit about that many pack requests coming from very new members. In the past it was required to have someone to vouch for you and I think the cup/judging run well with that system. I just don´t want to see packs getting into peoples hands, who just want to score a bag of weed for a steal. As long as there are enough packs left for proven members, I´m ok with it.
I also miss the 420 private section, I don´t feel comfortable with posting the event schedule in the open forum.

the priority will be given to older member of course like always, the idea was to open a bit more to see new faces and because there's not enough regulars that have booked packs so far so we don't want to have packs left when they can make a happy judge.
Gaius will probably make a private section for stuff regarding the schedule etc.

I have to fly on 20 so i can’t be physicaly in Barcelona on the last day but i will able to vote online, so to be sure that i can taste all the passes if it’s possibile i will take only the mostly indica grower, mostly indica breeder, mostly sativa grower, mostly sativa breeder , if more than one of them is not avaiable i can take 2 pass of flowers and 1 of rosin or hash, thank you very much let me know if it’s possible

most cups nowadays are running openly, so we decided to try a bit more openness too, as we do have a legal club to be at it's not so risky like in Amsterdam days. sad to hear you will not be there OakyJoe, maybe a pm to cancel your judge pack would have been nice.

I have to say I'm with AceHaze on this one...
I know a screening of members and finding someone to vouch for you takes time and all, but in the end we are a bunch of enthusiasts who grow lots of great weed, mostly know each other under an IC nickname and most of us would face legal consequences if their nickname and their person could be linked by outsiders.
So the secret society has it's place in my opinion and I hope I don't come across too paranoid.

it's a community thing guys so you all have a word in this, whoever wants to help organize is free to do so.
If we all agree that noobs are not accepted then ok
but then we need to change the cup or change the amount per entry we ask, because we don't have enough oldtimers booking judge packs.
even with the packs booked already we still have many left (85 to be exact)
So either we have more oldtimers (help us get them here), or we change the cup and make it smaller, or we accept a few noobs but we can not satisfy everything and everyone
We're working hard to try to make a nice cup but the politics is exhausting to be honest
Won't be doing that every year personally

keep an eye on this section of the forum, we will post location and time for judge pack pick up shortly before the starting date of 17th April 2019. the thread will be stickied so you can see it on top in the 420 forum. you will have 4 days time to judge and enter the scores in the online voting module. results will be announced on the evening of the 20th April.

This is not about politics, it's about common sense and taking into account that our hobby is still pretty illegal almost everywhere in Europe. That together with all our posts of harvests etc... requires some mechanism for security in my opinion. Like it was when I attended for the first time. You are checked. Happy to have noobs around if the packs and financial situation require it, but I'm going to stay anonymous then at the cup as far as new guys I don't know are concerned. And I'm only a very small light on this big christmas tree.
Also I'm arriving afternoon of the 16th and happy to help with whatever is required and needs sorting.

it's funny how all these people are going to high times and letting themselves be filmed there, even buying passes by credit card, but then worry about our little cup opening up a bit in a legal club?
we are trying something new this year, we will see how it goes, but it's silly to worry about a few newbs. specially for anyone whos ever been a judge at hightimes for example.
last year we had many judge packs left and there were not many voting judges, i feel thats a dishonor to entrants. and fucks up the cups pay for it's self principle.
i have a feeling this year will be the greatest ic cup yet and everyone missing out because of paranoia better stop going to spannabis, high times etc too.
if the club owner thinks we are ok doing it like this, i imagine he'd know the danger his club is in. which wouldn't effect the guest anyway either, so chill guys, it's gonne be a slam dunk this year.
