Joints in a concert?

Back in 1979, Jim Dandy of Black Oak Arkansas stole my joint. Actually I handed it to him during "Hot and Nasty" and after he hit it he passed it to someone else in the crowd. ~mT
I suggest you show up at his house next week, and ask for that joint back.

The secret in concert is to blow the smoke at the floor, never up.... that's how you get busted.

This is of course smoking in a GA concert area.

I saw and smelled weed for the first time in my life seeing Ozzy in concert in 92. Everyone there was getting high. Didn't get high personally until 96, but to this day the smell of weed smoke reminds me of a rock concert.

I've been going to metal concerts ever since then. People have been getting high at concerts literally every year I've been going out to see them, since 1992. Several hundred at this point. I've seen a few people get kicked out for smoking in Florida and Georgia, but I haven't seen that happen in California. Just don't be obvious about it and no one cares.

I just love music and have been to hundreds of concerts. Mostly go for edibles there and do enjoy this tobacco smoking ban(such useless stuff) here in europe. Every now and then a smoke though.

I see others smoking joints and getting kicked out while others doing it discreetly enough:biggrin:.

I had your same problem. I tried the doob tubes, white owl tubes (too big). The problem with any of them is the still get lost easily while your shuffling through your pockets for god knows what or they fall out on the ground if your sitting or dancing. The less things in my pockets the better.

For a concert I bought this wallet that has a built in medicine pocket. It can hold one fat joint or two mediums. Check it out on facebook or google. When you get to google or facebook type:

Pill Pocket Wallet

The container is this soft plastic that doesn't rip or shatter or feel uncomfortable. pretty slick idea. Hope that helps ya!

Added note- in '74....Dave Loggins (Please Come to Boston song fame) traveled to smaller universities on tour. Was in the front row....set a can of beer and a joint on top of the stage for him. He graciously accepted (back then the county was dry where I went to college...go figure). After the concert, I walked home and the friends I went to the concert with actually partied with him afterward, losing them in the crowd headed toward the exit.

Damn....day late, a dime short. However, was stoned and enjoyed the concert! ;o)

Yeah but it's not the same. Back in the day part of the experience was that everyone was doing it openly. Some people probably would still be vaping, eating edibles, popping pills etc., because that's what they prefer, but many do that now just to avoid being caught and thrown out.

The common experience was a huge part of the whole of going to concerts back in the day. That is/was what everyone discovered at Woodstock. The sense of connectedness in a supportive environment was pretty blissful. All the early shows I saw were in an old Roller Rink where you sat on the floor. Late 60's,early 70's. Girls brought blankets and everyone sat in groups and talked to each other and passed bowls and joints in a relaxed atmosphere. You made some friends. I just saw Warren Haynes a few nights ago. Everyone in their seats. Security lurking. No one smoking anything. Fun, but not like the old days

I have used these for years and they are smell proof, even with a partially smoked doob.

Tight-pac Blunt pac

they come in three sizes, this holds two joints and there's a single and big one that will take 4.

different colors so you can keep your strains separate.
they are on Amazon.

It might just be regional, in my area smoking anything even tobacco is banned in any place that people gather. I was at a Metallica concert in the late 90's (saw several shows on different dates and at two different locations) and there was no smoking of anything going on, at least not that I saw or smelled.

Must be regional ..... shows ive been too the wife and I normally bring 20 or 30 joints with us and try hard to smoke and share them all :) Course most shows we go to are some incarnation of the GD. The GD 50 show at Levi stadium the place was smoked out.... was a great christening for a new stadium
