I've generally been fascinated by the paradox and conundrum presented by those who claim to be prudish, indirectly or otherwise, perhaps by simple insinuation, but who spend time speculating, correctly or otherwise, as to what others are doing with their genitalia.. even when those sitting in judgement are of the same gender.
Yet the same folks often get off on watching 2 women. Go figger'...
In those cases, I suspect the double-standard has to do more with a sense of vulnerability or insecurity re. identity, or the bias would exist regardless of the gender involved.
Consistency and honesty, anyone?
Edit: I -can- state that when I worked as a licensed clinician in mh, that if I had biases or prejudices that kept me from seeing those I worked with as equal or valid, it would have been deemed unethical for me to work with them; likelihood of differential service delivery in their treatment.
I wonder what sorts of ethical guidelines exist within the licensed nursing or other healthcare professions?

As far as ethical in healthcare,I can assure you when a patient comes into the ER with HIV....EVERYONE is aware right down to the housekeepers.Im not saying they are not treated with the proper medications.But every nurse or MD that attends to that population double gloves.

And comparing drug counselors with Cracker Jack box certificates (passing a written, typically multiple choice test as a rule), an RN (a mere 2-year program in most cases these days, requiring some sort of basic BA/BS in tandem), with an MSW with clinical focus (requiring a graduate degree and licensing in a certified/accredited program), or a PhD Doctorate in Psych.? Yeah, there's yet another apples-to-apples comparison.. fer' sure. Bwahahahaha!!
