So what will we be left with, except for a totally and completely destroyed economy?

The country had over 600 thousand deaths as a result of the previous administrations lack of action.
That needed not happen had a public heath based approach been utilised.
The Supreme Court decided in favor of Public Health and Vaccination back in 1905.
There is a reason for that, it works cheaper and better than any other approach.
Let's wait and see what the outcome of build back better is before we write off the economy.
The same was said about the new deal, and it kept the country going pretty well.

I have a homeless friend who's been 'living' in Walmart's back lot for 3 weeks waiting for brake parts for his truck to come in so he can leave.

I am on my 13th president and I have been hearing the destruction of democracy as long as I can remember.

That being said, the last 5 years and in particular since J6 till now that the notion of the demise of democracy (as I know it) has been so visceral and more probable

And, sadly, I fear that those that twisted our democracy these last administration will not be held accountable. And because there will be no accountability, it will surely happen


All that is needed for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing.

The figure is tragic and disgusting- as was
the former presidents decision to terminate
pubic heath staff from the National Security Counsel.
He trashed plans that a good deal of time and
money had been invested in which could

Nixon tried, but those under him made sure that he failed. just as Chumps "disloyal" subjects let HIM down in his time of need, lol. thank God for the "deep state", if those folks are what makes it up.

Not at all sure why you would expect "Pubic Health"
to "admit" that anything came from any specific lab.
Public Health does not a good red hearing make.
You are well informed enough to have a decent idea who
would be behind something of this nature.
Was able to go over some of the funding requests.
It is not going to sell well. Calling it twisted, would be stretching
polite understatement...
Telling the Post Office not to send out masks wasn't the former Presidents best moment.
More disturbing to me than any specific virus,
are those who hold and work with such things in general.
If I recall correctly, the anthrax attacks
never were resolved.
With respect to masks, haven't seen them at prices like
this in quite a while.
With winter approaching, replenishing the supply
seems prudent.

the US police budget is bigger than China's military budget.

But the US military expenditure numbers reflect Hyperinflation and a HUGE amount of Make Work.

Also American military contractors are rewarded for increasing the complexity - and decreasing the reliability - of their products.


Maybe it would be useful to have "military hardware Olympics", and let the various countries demonstrate their Wares.

On the other hand ... there would be an incentive to send less functional hardware, so as to deceive Earthlings into thinking
"oh China's airplanes don't work".


China gets about as much for their $250 Billion as the US gets for their $750 Billion.

Russia also has a large installed base, China is playing catch-up.

AND, the US has made it totally clear to both Russia and China, that once the US is done fucking up the Middle East, it will come looking for a new country to fuck up.

In other words ... Russia & China have an incentive to sign mutual defense contracts, and the US has an incentive to make China & Russia fight each other.

manchin and sinema will take the brunt of the attack mainly by the liberals & the media because they have blinders on, while biden, schumer, pelosi get away blameless as usual. manchin and sinema after taking millions in political bribes while in office, will either leave the democratic party or electoral politics altogether and take some lobbyist job from the industries they've been serving in congress all this time.


i'm glad dems elected bernie sanders in 2016 so he could end citizens united and corporate financing of political candidates. oh wait.
