lookin good jimbob! as far as the stretch and cfl height is concerned, the doc does this because he knows his strain and knows exactly how much it stretches to end at desired height near the bulbs. your plants still have a little stretch to go. also, the doc uses clones, not from seed so the stretch is a little different since maturity is different. keep it up!

thanks tngreen, I am a big fan of ur grows, that sharksbreath is looking nice. I have a quick question for you or anyone else that may know, do you cut the lower leaves off of your plants if they go yellow? Also why would they be going yellow, is it nitrogen deficiency, also I am in the process of getting a ph tester for my water, could too acidic or alkaline of water cause the yellowing or the browning on the leaves? I am also going to be adding some better potting soil and dolimite lime in when I make up my new mixture of soil.

day 43

day 43

sorry for the late update, I was trying to keep it to a weekly thing but i somehow forgot to take pics yesterday so here we go. The one that has been doing the best continues to do the best. there is one other one that is doing very well, the rest don't seem to be getting any bigger and dont have many trichs forming. I think it is just a issue with the strain, it is just a bagseed grow from some mids and the fact that the one plant is doing so well makes me believe that it is more than possible it is probable to be able to get some kick ass buds out of this thing one a good strain goes in. The height of the best one is 15" from soil to tip, the tallest one is the other one that is doing well and it is about 17" or so.

The skywalker seedlings and sk/hz seedling are doing ok, they are recovering from a transplant, but seem doing be doing quite fine. They are at peace in the bottom of the same box they started in with 2 42 watt cfls. I am planing on topping those and trying to get some clones to make mother plants out of. When would the best time to top these be? they have been under lights for about 2 weeks or so now. They are in fox farm ocean forest cut with about 30-40 % perilite. After the transplant they got a good watering with some half strength nutes and it seemed to be just what they needed.

I need to find my mag to look at the trichs, well enjoy...

hey there jimbob, things are lookin great in your cab! as for your previous question i didnt see, ya i do usually take off the lower yellow leaves but even if you dont, they will die and fall soon after anyway. as for topping, i have topped as soon as the 3rd node and you could prolly even top the 2nd node. im liking the sharksbreath as well but they haven't been doing so well. i cut down all but one top of the Godberry and Sharksbreath bush, they just werent' filling in. somewhat my fault, combination of overferting, heat, and lack of light was their downfall. not to worry, i have clones that i will hopefully treat much better. keep it up man!

Day 50

Day 50

Well, it's 50 days in and the one lady is doing obviously much better then the others. Not sure why such the drastic difference, I know that all the seeds that were germed were thrown in the same jar so maybe a good beaner got in there someone but i doubt that is possible. I will def be keeping her and prob just chopping that main stem and leaving the rest to reveg as a temp mother until I can develop some mothers of some different strains.

Speaking of I took clones yesterday from the skywalker and sk/hz seedlings and they are in the bubble cloner. They seem to be doing well but u never know so cross ur fingers. How long do they usually take to die if they arent going to make it. It been over 24 hours now and there are zero signs of stress on the clones and the donors each have two new babies to replace the ones I relieved them of which will most likely be topped as well. The goal here would be to get a couple of mama plants going soon so that I can get the sog started, I think that once I can get some rooted clones I will make the first few mamas that will start to donate to the cause.

Well back to the present... I fed the "one" straight ph'd water as it appears to me to be very close to being done, I have a scope but I cant see shit with it without destroying the bud. I think in about 2 weeks that one will be done, not sure at all what to do about the others, I think I will just let them go until they start to die or something, they are not a lot of crystals on any of them and they seem to be just piddling along.

jimbob if you don't mind me asking what is your overall dimensions for your flowering room and cloning room and what is your overall wattage respectfully?
