Jiffy pellet/ peat pucks how much water.

Iam currently using Jiffy Pellet, or as they are called in Canada Peat Pucks?
I am wondering about how much i should soak em, before puting down a new clone.

And then during propagation, how often do they need to be water and should i use any nutes stimulators, i have GH Diamond nectar, that i use on the moms, succesfully.. I have 6 clones per clone table, greenhouses so how much water do they need. iam in day 8, i have currenlt 10 clones that have visual roots.

And on a nother note, i use the DPS Aero 2m2 tables, i did a test run with just 10 clones once they had rooted, but them directly under 12/12, and the area doing awesome, and 4 of them did not even have visual roots. now all of them have massive roots.

Does this mean that in this system, which i do know is a very good one can succesfully finish the rooting of the clones, or was it just luck that they survived.

But they are beatiful healty all of em, and growing like nothing i´ve seen before. there is no differnce between the ones that had visual roots coming from the clone tables and the ones that did not.
Anybody using GH DPS Aero system?

peat puck experience

used peat pucks for the longest. they evaporate about one ounce of water per day. a standard turkey baster works perfect to keep pellets hydrated. i just suck up the water and dispense 1 ounce per puck daily. they seem to hold two ounces fully saturated. at least the ones i use do. warm water expands them much faster for some reason. i soak mine till they fully expand then into the humidity dome on a seedling mat. near perfect success rate. i start 1/4 strength nutes after first set of true leaves as the peat pucks i use have no nutrients in them. the seeds have only a small amount of nutes in them so this is neccessary. i have neglected them on purpose and not watered until they drooped over and it took about 3 days to dry out completely. this was with the humidity dome off though. so even if you only watered every other day they should survive.
soil grower so no info on the hydro.

this is how u do it..

this is how u do it..

jifffy pellets are the shiit..i get 98% clone rate from them..i got soo frustrated with root riots cubes i freakin put jiffy cubes in my Omega garden with rockwooll..what i doo...what i have been doing for 2 years..soke the cubes in water that has some of the jump start rooting hormone.....theres many others out there..then once fully expanded let them sit out for say like 20 to 40 mins on somes sort of plate or screen to water drains..( you dont have do do this but it makes it less messy for all the peet going all over the place) then.... with the wet plug take a cutting dip it in rooting power an d place it 4/5 in to the cube..then with your hands squeze around the plug soo it forms a tight hold on the new stem and most of the water is rung out... then place it on the rack..for the first 2 to 3 days you shouldnt have to do anything...but lift the dome and stray the tops...then check the cubes if they seem drying out then squirt a few streems of water on the plugs...at 7 days vent the tops 24/7 ..at 7 to 10 days you should have roots..and always use a heating pad...!!!!

Thanks man, will go directly into my clone room and went the tops i am now on day 10, so a little late in your way of doing it. Also, i am clooning Euphoria from Dutch passion. Some have told me they take a bit longer to root. I do have heating pad. it never goes down under 22 C, but i have a steady 25 in the water. The thing is i have about 15 with roots. some more some less. and the rest 10 of em. all look good not hangin or any thing bad. there may be some yellow on on or 2 clones on the leafs i mean, but they all look good, so they should be thriving right? i mean they would not look healty if they where dead :p, guess it is a waiting game. But i am taking a 12 more in a couple of days will use ur method then. And i have noticed that the stems on the clones realy should not be to thick. is this just my own clones or is in universial. Final. what strain do u recomend for cloning, and finaly blooming in SOG.

Ive always had good luck w/these and will cont to use. They can be transplanted directly to your main pot. No shock. Wally world has 25 for 2 bucks. No ferts needed for germination. Only warm water.

just make sure you dont get them too wet.... any strain flowered at the right hight is good for sog...

when i created this strain i thought i were cloning euphora but it was chronic, was a bit high when i planted the seeds, anyway, everything turned out well, love the petpucks, i go to flowering instant after propagation. no problems at all, allt of my clones are doing fine, about 50 cm each, i never thought they be so big as the got, but i do love the DPS aero system! easy, no fuss no muss , just kick back and chill.

i prefer to use peat pucks/jiffy7 pellets for cloning. seem to have great success with them - at least 90%+ with them.

i soak in hot tap water with a drop of superthrive added. drain off water, then lightly squeeze out SOME of the water. poke hole with new chopstick and they're ready for clone insertion. i use standard cloning powder from hardware store - it's the only non-organic item i use beside occasional superthrive, but seems to root them fast. i don't have a humidity dome, instead I use one of those plastic tubs that salad greens come in from Costco (i think they are 7"w x 12"L x 7"h clear plastic). i don't really add any water after that. maybe one misting halfway through rooting.

During propagation I use the cap off a 20oz mountain dew, each puck gets 2 caps full of water each day, thats just my situation, however, this will depend on your temps/humidity/airflow.

I would never use peat pucks with rockwool in a rotary garden. The peat stays too wet and rots the plant, but if you get past that, then the plant gets heavy and puts on the medium the peat falls out when the thing is upside down.

i use peat pucks and place them in a dish along with about an 1/8th of an inch of water. this will allow them to wick up what they need. works like a charm. dont forget the heating pad under the dish ;)

I keep trying to use Jiffy Peat Pucks but I always return to Rapid Rooters.

My biggest trouble with the pucks: I can't pick them up out their trays to check for roots without destroying the puck. The net NEVER holds them together. What am I doing wrong?

Hey LLama, Im thinking of going back to rapid rooters, i think its because of my temps, its getting cooler out, that my cloning rate has dropped and slowed alot, but i like both. I seen HTG had cheaper versions too of the rooters.
