I never said that was a reason to shoot. Thats just how I interpereted his actions. The cop, knowing his history may have interpereted them as " this guy had one gun in the glove box, and may have one on him now, and is gonna shoot me." I can't put myself in that cops shoes, fortunately.

The passenger who got shot was trying to force his way out of the car from how I saw it.
I'm not saying the shooting was right, but if a cop tells me he's going to shoot me if I don't comply, I'm gonna listen. The driver was being compliant and it turned out pretty well for him, minus the cleanup.

suspect was already known to have shot at police recently. the officers DID pull a gun from the glovebox but until the suspect is thoroughly searched they'd have NO idea if he's carrying another gun on his person. suspect was being non-compliant by exiting the car in either an attempt to run or to do harm to the officers. had they let him run, he might have stopped only a few feet away and opened fire if he were carrying another gun although he wasn't.


and jesus christ almighty!!! if 2014 has taught us one thing and one thing alone it's this.......

Jails here in cali are manìpulated kept over crowded ON PURPOSE to get more money you think it takes 6-8 hours to get a ticket an get site released????

And just for the record being a cop doest even make the top 10 most dangerous jobs but they need guns? No europe seems to do fine without em, the criminals arent running things over there like they like to scare us into thinking things will be if they dont get ar15s for their squad cars ànd armored vehicles the criminals will just take over.

the other day I was passing 2 cars on some 2 lane blacktop while I had the passing lane (lines) in my favor, my car is supercharged it it really kicks ass, I was doing about 85mph and gaining on the 2nd car but also on the cars approaching me head on in the southbound lanes.

I completed the pass just about the time I noticed the oncoming car was a state trooper, great. I knew I was gonna get stopped and so I pulled over fast n' hard (a patented move of mine) so that the officer gives no chase.

by the time he walks up to my window I have both hands on the wheel and I'm immediately interrupting his "I guess you know why you're being stopped today...." spiel. One of the conditions of my concealed carry permit is to immed inform leo that I am armed which is what I did. He asked where the gun was (right next to me, tucked & concealed in the console) and when I told him he just said, "well as long as your hands don't go near it we won't have any problems," I assured him that my hands weren't going to leave the steering wheel at all.

he took my license, I couldn't locate my insurance cards, he didn't even want to see my valid carry permit and went back to his car to run my dl info. he came back (fast), handed me my license and asked that I not run him off the road ever again, I didn't even get a written warning for speed.


so some of them (this is real rural northern MN) can be real cordial when interacting with armed citizens. idk, maybe I got no tickets because he just wanted to get the flock out of there because I had a gun, writing a summons is certainly distracting to his keeping an eye on my arm movements.

BUT enough of them are and abuse their power so that its a bad idea that they are armed.
Your guy sounds like he was doin his job.
Im not saying we dont need some sort of law enforcement to keep society on the rails so to speak, but do we need armed armored vehicles, automatic weapons and cops in body armor who look more like armed invading soldiers than public servants meant to protect and serve us????

they might not cut breaks but they wont be the crooked easily influenced and corrupted thugs that we call police these days if you get busted it wont be because your black or some other idiotic pre concieved predjudice or being profiled.
So yea in this case the 90% bad apples definitely spoil the bunch.
