I rather like the wild looks of the JLB. Looks aren't everything though.

Do you think JLB is a highland strain?

Many thx siever I test the plants to be healthy

RC, the last individual of Doublejam presented at an effect type Lambsbread but with a higher power, which him confers psychedelic effects

many individual in line Doublejam are very close to the Lambsbread and better therm power, other are softer! overall I recommend those most rapid flower,

I work on a lined IBL Doublejam on the criterions very close to the Lambsbread in therm of high and smell but with a higher power, a time of smaller flowering and better adaptability inside

Yes thule;)

The Blue mountains certainly are quite high, if that's where the lambsbread is from. For some reason I was under the impression that the strain was preserved on another island off the coast of Jamaica, i.e lowlands. It could have been my imagination because I can't find such a quote anywhere.

I started a small reproduction last month. Despite the long flowering time I want to conserve it as it is, a classic archetypal sativa. I do have an early flowering hybrid version of it, but that's another story :)

I recently got a cut labeled Lambsbread. The guy said it got big. I hope it's legit. I love Jamaican Sativa. Heart racing goodness.

Hey everybody this is my first post here although I have lurked for awhile I created an account so I could talk to the keepers of this legendary strain. First I would like to thank JGL and the others that have preserved this old school strain and used it to release hybrids like DoubleJam and the ColJam. I appreciate you giving the average joe like myself a chance at having this gem in his garden, it really means a lot.

So to want im wondering, ive been looking at the double jam and until very recently had figured this is what I would order. I had perviously looked into the JBM by CBG and read that it has a more stony sativa high and is good for say, meditation. This is exactly what I want, a good trippy stoney sativa high but unfortunately the JBM is out of stock. Then I found out about the DoubleJam and figured it would be perfect because of the addition of the JBM to the lambsbread but last night I saw a post by JGL (cant remember where sorry it was late and I was really tired) where he said that the DoubleJam is a more electric smoke while the ColJam was the more stoney and trippy high. I can get a bit anxious sometimes so electric isn't really what Im looking for in a sativa, or else I would look at ACE's thai stick ive heard there are some really serious phenos to find in there. My only worry about the ColJam is I have heard about some problems getting the CG1972 to flower indoors, I am willing to wait 20+ weeks flowering for these jungle sativas but I don't want a plant that is just taking up space and light without finishing. Any thoughts would be appreciated thanks guys! -Strog

The DoubleJam, two Jamaican lineage, a preserved since 1985,the JBM and the other from the seventies the Lambsbread
The mother is the clone "purple Lambsbread" and the father JBM
Phenotypes from 14 to 20 weeks of flowering
Cerebral high euphoric / socializing or rather electric and psychedelic as phenotypes, no ceiling for many pheno! Very destabilizing
Taste fruity / floral / spicy
Strech significant X8 to X20
some pheno have many colors purple end of flowering

just gots to run a few to find your keeper.

hello all,

the coljam is more trippy high, not the line 1972 in coljam but colombian gold 80'(other lines)
the coljam is colombiangold 80'X (colombian gold 80'Xjamaican lambsbread)!!strong effect

the double jam gives certain individual euphoric / socializing and other more electric and psychedelic!

JBM coming soon ;)

best vibes ;)

édit:very nice smoke report gransrin, very psychedelic ,many thx ;)

Great to hear back from you JGL, seriously it is such an honor to be able to talk to you about your work and I really like that I can before my decision. My apologies for I assumed the Columbian in ColJam was the CG1972, will you please explain further about the columbiangold used in the Coljam then? What are the flavors like? Unfortunately I have never been blessed to smoke old school strains like this so id like to know from an experienced user before I make my judgment. I have heard old Columbian is known for its stoney spacy and trippy highs which is what I want not and so much of the speedy type high, does the lambsbread bring the electric to the cross? Also Is it very jungle like in its growing or more hybridized kind of like the JBM? Because these will eventually be done inside, Thanks

hello,

Coljam is the most dominant Colombian, the colombian gold used is a newer strain, as jbm it was collected in the 80', is better suited to the lamps relative to the line of 1972, but very stretchy and long flowering 18 weeks ... it's a sativa pure with compact heads! The smell is fruity / peach, acidulated and slightly hazy
The high is trippy, stoney as typical Colombian strains!

Lambsbread can give some plants more electric, but the majority of coljam are close to the Colombian (the latest versions coljam was worked on Colombian traits for offer something very close Colombian;))
more jungle and stretchy compared to JBM

Bad news...I had to chop my JLB at week 14. Powdery Mildew was growing on the inside stem of the flowers. Micro climate inside there. I sprayed with Serinade to combat the issue but it wasnt working as good as I hoped. I washed the flowers down with cold water and hung them up to dry.
I never sprayed the top cola so I will smoke that part.
Probably not gonna taste good due to immaturity. Ill try again at a later date.

Sorry to hear that, you must have a pretty humid envinronment? I'm still interested to hear how she smokes. Any brown pistils at 14 weeks?

Again Thank you for replying JGL after reading this I think a few packs of coljam are exactly what I want. Also how often is the purple stem lambsbread trait coming up in coljam? As I would really like to try a lambsbread leaning phenol just to try it. If its not very often then maybe I will just get a pack of double jam to run later to find a lambsbread phenol. I was thinking about getting the punto rojo from CBG, might as well make that order count and maybe get the doublejam too

No. Not at all. Temps are perfect. Humidity is maybe abit to low? I really dont understand why. There were about 40% red pistils.
Atleast 4 more weeks (minimum) to finish. Ide say 5 left.
Temps:
DAY: 74.5 - 79
NIGHT: 74 - 75
RH:
DAY: 36.5
Night: 38

There is no intake air at night. I cover my a/c totally for light leaks. I wonder if thats the problem?
My exhaust is crankin 24/7 for smell.
My a/c intake air is on for 12 hours a day while lights are on.
Maybe the bud was sweating from low humidity? I dont think 36.5 is excessively low....but it could be?
40rh - 45rh is the sweet spot.

I sprayed down 3/4 of the plant with Serinade Disease/Mildew/Fungus fighter.
I soaked it 3x within 10 days.
I didnt spray the top cola so it was safe to smoke.
I washed the buds really good under cold water and hung them to dry.
DO YOU THINK THE SPRAYED BUDS WILL BE SAFE TO SMOKE after being sprayed 2 days before washing them?
Atleast I didnt spray the top 10" so I can atleast sample that. I prob should have just kept spraying the bottoms with a more concentrate solution, or chopped them off and let the top finish. That didnt have any PM on the flowers stem.
I didnt want to risk the other plants getting PM spores all over them. Im sure they did anyways. There just sittin there waiting for the perfect time to germinate and blast sporse all over the place. Im only 2 and 3 weeks out from harvesting all strains.
I noticed a couple small spots of PM on a GrapeOG that was in the back, so I cut the small sugar leaf off with any on it and tossed em. That took care of that!
Only a grams worth of sugar leaf. I also rearranged the plants location to the front for more airflow.
I think the JLB got it because I didnt spray it, and because I had an outbreak last grow due to grower error. High RH/Low temps. My bad.
This time I made sure to dial it in. Maybe some leftover spores from last time?
Other than that, everything looks great.
I wish I knew what was causing it? My environment seems fine.
