Believe they work or don't work .Taking the omega-3 ,i just feel great .I don't know how else to explain it.My body feels great ,and my mood is good.I take opiates regularly ,and when reducing my intake ,i often feel a bit depressed or moody .After taking this everyday,i feel great and stabilized and just happy i guess,Here's a few excepts from wikipedia on EPA and DHA Omega-3 ,which is what im taking. It also mentions its great for heart and cardiocascular health..

There is preliminary evidence that EPA supplementation, either with DPA or medication, is helpful in cases of depression[49][50][51] There is also preliminary evidence that supplementation with ALA, EPA, and DHA, alone or in combination
with n-6 fatty acids, can reduce anxiety.[52][53]
The New York Times,[54] however, reports that at
least one study[55] has not found a connection
between depression in heart patients taking
Sertraline and daily supplements containing two
grams total of EPA and DHA during a ten-week period.

The Canadian Government has recognized the
importance of DHA omega-3 and permits the
following biological role claim for DHA: "DHA,
an omega-3 fatty acid, supports the normal
development of the brain, eyes and nerves."[8]

Guys seriously watch this show then get back to me. I love meat so yeah that is going to be a hard one for me to give up but it doesn't mean that I can't learn about new concepts of food and what is and isn't healthy. The day I can't learn new things will truly suck..peace out Headband707

From b12 to fish oil, from creatine to vitamin C, I've never taken a vitamin or supplement that has caused a noticeable change in my mood, awareness, capacities, or overall health. I'm including various injections and expensive new age sprays as well.

The absorption is very important whether it is from your body or the supplement itself.Don't know from which companies you took the supplements.

- Creatine especially the compound monohydrate has a better absorption with fast carbohydrates like maltodextrin or just apple juice.

The best vitamin C supplement what i've experienced is from Jarrow Formulas with Olive leaf extract.

- The importance of B12 is the compound, Cyanocobalamin, Methylcobalamin or Dibencozide.Last 2 are more effective and B12 as a lozenge is more effective than a normal tablet.

i agree. I take these supplements and I feel the difference as well. omega-3 and vitamin c has show to be the most effective for me.

I only take about 500mg of vitamin c a day unless i get sick then i take more.. i have taken 4 grams before with no bad effects what so ever.

I have asthma and when I first started taking vitamin c I didn't have to use my inhaler for about 2 months. I do on occasion now, but its only about twice a week at the most. It used to be everyday.

Creatine is for use when working out religiously. It DOES work to increase pump and energy by retaining water in the muscle tissue. It works but it's not something to just take for the heck of it.

Well better Vitamin C than inhalers that cause fungi infection in your mouth.Doesn't matter if it is caused by placebo, the less of the medicine you've to take the better.

So many things out there work wonders, if only people would comply with taking them on a regular basis. Most of the best tonic herbs require several months of daily use to really start seeing benefits-- but for some wonderful reason, this results in greater and more permanent [albeit slower] changes. Always get the highest quality you can afford!

A few things that have helped me and my loved ones:

- Reishi, both red and black: High quality is very important with red reishi.. look for "duanwood" or wild if you can afford it. This is a great herb, helps most people with most problems. Takes a long time to start feeling great, but once you do, you're smooth-sailing. Definitely enriches the spirit as much as the body-- when I took it I was noticeably more in the ethers, in a good way.

- Cordyceps: My favourite herb of all time!!!! I've been taking cordyceps on and off for a couple years, and the longer I stay disciplined and take it every day, the better and more energetic I feel. I use Purica brand cordyceps.. very high quality considering it's not wild harvested (wild harvested cordyceps cost thousands per pound-- not feasible with my budget)

- Gynostemma pentaphyllum: It's an herb that is used to make a tea that has a naturally sweet flavour. This plant in particular has more health benefits than any other plant discovered by man. It's an adaptogen of the highest quality, and it's affordable! I gave some wild gynostemma to my mom and she's been drinking one-two cups daily for about 7 months now. Her overall energy and blood sugar levels have improved 95%. Look for organic or wild gynostemma. I grow my own and eat it fresh.

- Fermented cod and/or skate liver oil: simply amazing for health
- High vitamin butter oil from grass-fed cows: also amazing for health, and is synergistic with the aforementioned fermented liver oils. I get mine from Green Pastures.

- Polyrhachis vicina Roger a.k.a. chinese black mountain ant. Yeah, it's an ant, but it's very healthy. It's one of those things you can pretty much survive on.

- Camellia sinensis pollen, cracked cell wall: pollen from the tea plant, usually wild harvested. Exceptional nutritional profile, "super food", gives me an energy boost unlike anything else, and it is the second best thing I've tried for curbing my appetite (for some strange reason, concord grapes are the #1 thing for me at killing cravings).

I've never tried the pollen, but I'm a big fan of green tea pills (powdered leaves, not extract). The long term health benefits of green tea are undeniable, and I do get noticeable effects from supplementation. The combination of theanine with caffeine gives me a sort of calm energy as opposed to the jittery energy I'd get from coffee. I drink green tea also, but some of the most beneficial components aren't easy to extract with hot water. Eating the leaf powder solves that problem.

Melatonin is a supplement that can make an immediate difference for those with insomnia. I take one melatonin pill every night along with one of my cannabis capsules, and I usually manage to get a good night's sleep with very vivid dreams. My insomnia would be unmanageable after a while without this combination.

Cannabis is my favorite herbal supplement. It gives so many health benefits in both the short term and long term, and of course it has immediate noticeable effects too.
