It's not about the size of the bud...

Great pics!

I beg to differ with o.g. kushman on the OG yield.

My evidence is this thread itself--If a 5-gram nug is considered big for a strain, it proves the low-yield theory.

I just chopped a Heavenly Man (Heaven X Mango) that I don't even consider a big yielder, and the 3 largest nugs were 8, 11, and 14g respectively.

While you may be able to maximize O.G. yield using various methods, its true that OG is not known as a massive yielder.

Neither are Diesels. This is just true, not a knock, just facts, ask anyone who's done this for awhile.

BUT...its dank ass smoke so CONGRATS AND ENJOY your huge bud!

Got it in the SF Valley, not sure if it's cool to mention specific clubs on here...

Don't really know much about the Fire OG. There are a lot of really interesting OG variants around here..Sour, Fire, "True," Platinum, Presidential, etc. Not sure where these cuts originated or how they are composed. I do know on the grower's side of things we've got the Abusive cut, SFV, etc, etc....so what gives?

Speaking from experience the clubs down here in socal (im sure norcal 2) just play the name game and will stick anything infront of og or anyother strain to make it sell better. Also some places sell it as whatever the grower calls it or they might even put the growers name or initial before the the strain... Me personally, I hate the stupid marketing ploys and would rather them just tell me exactly what cut of og im getting. If they dont know then is simply should be og. FUCK THE NAME GAME :cuss:  lolz

the reason there are a million og's is because theyre all s1's.

what club is claiming the REAL og? none.

Well a lot of clubs sell a regular "OG kush" too. I'm guessing that the "platinum" type names are some sort of OG cross or isolated phenos of certain cuts. They are definitely all OG, they have the lovely smell and that rosebud structure...but with their own unique traits and % of sativa. The sour og smelled just like OG mixed with Sour Patch Kids candy and had a nice 50/50 sativa to indica high. The Fire is more like 80% indica i'de say. The massive orange pistils are unique for this bud.
