Walmart is a corporation alot of people don't think is doing good to america, when I goto the Hydrostore and purchase 3 "Air King" fans which are alledgely top of the line and not one lasted longer than 1 month of continuous use, then I goto Wallyworld and find that little Sir of a Fan for 8.99 and its been working since july, I tell you bud, its all good. So the Hydrostore charged me 45 dollars per fan and than only oscillated for 30 days a piece and now I got not one but two walmart fans and they are just jamming in there (a bigger oscillating fan too for 12.99).
Ok so I got a fresh tank of co2 and I purchased a cheap CO2 valve setup for 80 dollars on ebay which I set up a timer for last night and will plug in tonight so that it starts tomorrow morning. I should've done it last night but I fell asleep like at 9pm.
So then the inline fan will be on a timer too so its going to be on 24/7 but I was wondering since I dont have glass under that 1000w light and a hood with glass is too expensive at this point and I am afraid to shut off that 4 inch fan while the lights are off, would it be adviseable to just let it shutoff for the 15 minute intervals that CO2 will be on or just let the fan keep going. I was going to let the fan keep going and just put the CO2 lines down by the plants instead of up on top since the plants are short and small and this hydrohut as an updraft effect with those flaps close to the bottom that slightly pull up with the suction from the elicent fan up top sucking air out that chimney hole. *the humidity has been a steady 40% and when I water it goes upto 55% but I might water a little extra so the runoff creates more moisture. which I did today*
I want to use a carbon filter but I fear that will not work as well as my current setup with the ducting just sucking right next to the light hanging off the cheap chrome reflector is the best I can do to suck out that really hot air from the bulb.
Any input will be greatly appreciated and thanks to everyone for all the great encouragement, this is going great! I chanted this morning just as the lights came on and I know the plants got into it because they were looking even better than yesterday! I strive to enlighten myself, my family, my friends and now my plants! Good things on the way for sure.
