Sorry to hear about all this L Wayne... Sux...

I don't think 35 mins would do it either, and yes, POPS is right on. Spraying pollen with h2O kills it. I don;t think I would spray buds so close to harvest, except exact areas, and lightly. On a dry day.

Sheesh, after such a nice looking grow, I would be a bit aggro too, but it may not turn out so bad. And yes, there is always the option of Hashmaking, which looks like a good idea with those greasy buds.

It is crazy how many "Things" we depend on do turn out this shizzle. Sometimes, I am amazed how well things DO work out, over time. Then I try to forget, so I can sleep well. lol

Hang in there, Wayne.

For another, you will get some feminized seeds...!

water kills pollen i found this out the hard way was gifted strawberry desiel pollen, i pollenated then sprayed the plants with water. pollenation didnt take :bashhead: but yes theres a nanner or lots somewhere in the garden, thier not hard to spot you'll know them. i have i believe 2 nute sensitive plants i check every watern which is every other day, tis a PIA but once you've cut all nanners and stay ontop of any new 1's you can finish them out. but afterwards i would wash the whole growroom down walls with diluted bleach wash and dust everything if theres carpet steam clean it, this is to prevent any future possible contamination.

I didn't realize that, I thought it just ended up sticking to whatever and ended it's two week lifespan :)

LW, the nanners may or may not be mature and contain pollen. Be as gentle as possible in cutting them off. Cut right at the stem,so as not to pop the nanner. Keep a spray bottle handy and spray the plant if you see a nanner break. I have seen plants at 9 1/2 weeks with small nanners that have viable pollen. I had a couple on my last harvest, from flowering too long. When I handled them, the sacs burst. Of course,at that time,I didn't have to worry about them. Depending on your normal humidity level, you should be able to lightly mist your buds at 5 weeks, without inviting mold, but I wouldn't wait much longer. The mist should kill any existing pollen. Dry afterwards with a fan. Good luck. A few seeds won't hurt anything.

When I found pollen on some of my plants, I sprayed everything down with water from a hose. I sprayed all the plants, including ones with nice buds and all the walls. I did this twice a few days apart. I just shook the plants and shook the water off them. Then I had fans going and blowing on them drying them. No problems

i doubt it was your timer lil' wayne, if you saw how my girl is treated, and she still hasn't hermied yet. one of them plants musta shot a load into the air for one reason or another. you said you added some nutrient, maybe they didn't like it, and freaked out.

but still...

i don't understand why people are so afraid of seeds man. i guess it means less money because of bag appeal if your a commerical grower, but the smoke is still going to be just as potent.

back in the day, 80s, this was the only herb that me and my friends were able to get, always seeded. just break up the bud on a shoebox cover -- hold it on a 45 degree angle while breaking, and all the seeds roll down to the bottom. with another piece of cardboard, like a playing card, just kinda scrape on your broken herb in an upward motion, and more seeds will roll down till you get em all. they will stop on the lip of the shoebox and not hit the floor. collect your LUI seeds, and send them to the needy. finish your grow lil wayne, and enjoy!

It wasn't timer. Most probably shity genetics. Find plants with nanners and toss them (or grow, smoke and toss afterwards). I bet it was thai shit that fucked your grow.

it is quite possible that the thai is responsible....but why would they be flowering perfectly fine up until now and decide to shoot nanners? something had to of stressed it out.

I just did a morning inspection and found about 8 nanners on the thai hazes, and approximately 2 on 2 different LUI's. The LUI's seem to have some seed pods forming here and there. nothing too crazy yet....

i still want to know what caused it.

everyone is saying it is not the timer.

how often do perfectly fine female plants just decide to go herm and shoot off pollen?

really makes me wonder. :badday:

how about this - maybe the thai hermied and sent out some type of panic pheromone in the air, which triggered an underlying dorment trait in your other more stable girls that the end is near, and better nanner now to survive.

nature works in many more mysterious ways that we don't yet understand.

logic says that if the only new introduction to your room was the thai, most likely that's the cause. kind of like how girls who dorm together start getting their period at the same time.

honestly i could folair feed my buds right upto harvest and not worry about PM i have lotsa fans and diff sizes in the grow ventilation was the 1st concern i addressed in a cab grow. i brought that thinking over to the closet, my plants blow in a steady breeze nothing stands still and yet nothings in harsh winds. my fresh air intakes either 1 of em i can hold paper in front let go and it gets sucked in, my RH normally is 20% or less outside i live in a desert erea.

Pop's is schooln ya right :) long as theres not nanners every where pickn a few here or there isnt really a chore. just the 1st few inspections are when i cut mine i use a 10x jewelers eye and snip the tiny stem lol.

keep growing, cut the nanners, you LUI looks bomb, now i want to get some seeds...
that thi haze looked good too.
might strech a bit, that would be more frustrating, alot of time late flower nanners dont result in seed, or theydont develop past the size of a grain of salt.

had that happen recently, keep growing!

those nanners release pollen which gots on the ladies private parts and makes beans
i feel for ya im havin a bit of nanner problem myself
hopefully the water can deactivate most of the pollen

Water will kill pollen LW, and Pops is dead on, the timer may have played a part, but you got a naughty plant in there.

Wayne - guaranteed it was the Thai that hermied bro...thai's are notorious for hermying...it had nothing to do with the timer i can guarantee that aswell... i would look over the thai's with a fine tooth comb and put them away from the fans if possible... you gotta make sure there are no light leaks at all as well... someone said check the internodes and that is also outstanding advice as they are usually viable on the nodes... the smoke will still be killer you'll just lose out some on the yield

Iceman beat me to it. Some sativas, especially the more equatorial, have herm tendencies as a self defense mechanism. Something about not having large swings between night and day. It's the same reason they take so long to finish. They grow in an area that never tells them the end is near. I don't think a couple of breeding generations in Holland can defeat tens of thousands of years of genetics.

All in all it doesn't seem too bad. You don't make it sound like the plants are covered in seeds. Just some here and there. It may not help your situation but, I don't think it's your fault that something hermed. Though you may have to take the rap of having a mixed garden.

Deepset sympathies. :badday:

A mixed garden is not always a bad thing. I have 14 strains going at any one time. Way too damn many and I am on a lifelong goal of trying to curb my strainwhore ways.

Sometimes, the wrong nutes, PH problems, temp too high or tiny LED lights that you never thought about can cause hermies. Sometimes,it is just the genetics. If you know about the genetics in advance, you can take extra care to examine your plants every day. I grow a P-91 that came from hermi seeds, and if my garden is not just perfect, I will get a few seeds, though never more than 10-30 per plant. They still smoke great, but I have to watch them.
