Is this OK to smoke ?

Could be genetics. We have a white strain that throws variegated leaves every few sets. As long as it doesn't look moldy, cure her well and enjoy the smoke! ;o)

How did this plant end up. Did you keep growing the purple buds. Did they smoke good? Did the purple spread etc. Was it the phytoplasma disease?. I have a plant that is doing the same thing. Only on the lowest branch. Looks identical as yours. I just switched from veg nutrients to bloom. It is going under 15c nightly. I have 5 other plants that all get the same water same nutrients at the same time. 5 plants look normal. And this one is doing what yours is

The plants ended up fine.
I guess it was mostly genetics and maybe temperature as well?

The plants looked perfectly normal except for the purple color.

I don't know how phytoplasma disease affects a plant but I'm pretty sure it ends up killing the plant.

I'd suggest growing out that plant to see what happens unless it does turn out to be phytoplasma disease and could infect your other plants?

I figure that if all your plants are all from the same seeds or mother plant, there might be more reason for concern.

The problem is that purpling is normal for some strains, especially when they are stressed, and it apparently looks identical to phytoplasma disease, (at least in the early stages.)

Try to research phytoplasma disease more and maybe find some pictures.
I don't know much about it or how contagious it is.

Yes all of my other plants are the same strain off the same mother. It's just this one lower branch that is effected and the whole plant looks washed out all of a sudden . The purple buds on that lower branch look wet almost like it's secreting fluid. Which is odd.

That kinda looks different to me. (although I can't zoom in on your picture very well)

My plant wasn't "wet" and didn't look washed out like yours.
Yours appears to be "rotting".

I think you should at least separate it from your other plants.

Apparently phytoplasma disease is transmitted by bugs, and it might get transmitted to your other plants, if it is actually phytoplasma disease.
