Ok so basically here is the set-up and how I have been running things. I have an ebb an flow setup that I am running with rockwool and hydroton rocks. The rockwool ( 6") are buried 3/4 in hydroton. The roots seem to love this dark moist environment. I am running Canna Aqua. My PH stays between 5.5 and 6.2. My PPM range now is 8-900. Daytime, lights on temps are 75-81. Nightime dark temps are 65-70. Temps in the rez stay stable. I also twice weekly foliar feed with Dutchmaster foliar line. The potential problem I am having is leaf tip burn, with some strange leaf distortion in the idea that in some places on lower shoots and leaves the leaf is curling over on itself in its vertical sense, if that makes any sense. I diagonsed this as being a MG problem and sprayed em with 1 tsp per gallon of Epsom last night, it seemed a bit better but the leaf twisting is still there. Oh yeah and one more note to mention, is I am using RO water. I also have only been in Veg now for 2.5 weeks. In any case any and all feed back will be appreciated...... LAte

oh yeah I have three different strains goin here. WW Bubble berry Kush ( seems to be the most resistent to damage. And SCBB or Madness, it's a cut from Subrob. In any case thanks in advance for the help.

Ok I just thought I would try this and did here are the results maybe they can help diagnose the problem... I took one of the girls out. Root growth is good, really good for two and a half weeks, white furry and super healthy. I took some RO water and flushed the cube over an empty clean container...The PPm only raised by 200. Could the problem be lack of nutrients maybe??????

sure does sound like nute burn, putting different strains(diff. growth rate) togheter in the same system causes that(diff. strains diff. needs)....my solution to that problem was taking the middle path(ec's(ppms) that both can take), even better is to put togheter plants with similar growth

doesn't look like mg def to me, you should see green leafe veins and yellowing leafs not burnt tips, don't add shit if you'r not sure what the plants really need

those yellow-green new shots are not a problem, it's a sign of new growth, when the fan leaves become unstable, then you have a problem

so id say lower you'r EC to the point where you notice new growth and the end of burnt tips, do it gradually, wait at least two days before you make another ec drop

if it's a lack of nutes, then it shows P deficiencie, but that should not happen in veg with a ppm that high

i've seen that u use canna aqua right now, i use canna aqua flores and substra vega, never had problems like that if temps and water flow was correct

btw, i used hydroton on my first hydro run(bubbler dwc), had the same problems and i found out that it was root rot(can you look at the stem base of the burnt plants?) cos hydroton sucks a lot of moisture and accumulates a lot of heat so it has to be dealt really carefully(the main thing is to only moisturize the root part of the stem not all the way up) + hydroton tends to higher pH all the time, releasing K+ ions(which are trapped in the clay's cristal cages)

Scegy, I have an air stone in my rez, water temp stays at 70 degrees. Iwill be flushing the system today and changing the rez PPM to 700. Just to note the plants look good overall , growing like crazy, leaves reaching high for the light, strong stems. Figured this issue was something small but just wanted to make sure......Thanks for the help guys much appreciated................LAte

Issue has resolved itself completely....I was a little to hot on the nutes..Fuckin crappy ass meter I had just got it's ass thrown in the trashish.....I got a new one from Hanna, the old one was off by about a 100 ppm...... You buy shit and you get shit right?????...........LOL.... Thanks again for the assistance fellas.......LAte
