Hey peeps any of you unsure of a plants sex or wanna know sex before u flower the whole plant then there is a simple solution:
Just take a cutting from any plant/s you wish to check sex of and place the cutting in prop as usual but under a 12/12 or better 14/10 day/night regimen.
The cuttings dont need roots to show sex and can be rooted under this light regimen anyway and will show quickly even under a small cfl,flouro or even incandescent bulb in a small cupboard or box.Or even in natural light like a windowsill but shaded overnight.
You dont need a successful rooting anyway just a showing of sex.This then tells you your males (as long as you labelled cuts and parents)and stops you flowering a big male for 2 weeks just to throw it out. If the cuts root and are Fems they can be put on 18 to 24 light and reverted to veg to keep as mums.If not chuck em away as they've done their job already. Hope this helps! JBo
