Is this a male? (pic)

I dunno. 12/12 yet? Got more than 1 plant? If I'm using regular seed, I won't start less than 10; if I'm starting from square one. I heard of one guy who grew 15 before he got a female. Assuming gender comes out 50/50, you have a .5% chance of getting no females if you start all 10.

You could give it a 36 hour sleep then go 8/16 on it's ass. As soon as you confirm female with hairs, you throw it back to 24/0 and take clones.

I have 5 of 10 plants that I can say are definitely female, and these just look so different. They have a ball with 1 thick green hair poking out, my females definitely have 2 fine hairs. This is my only real reasoning for thinking this is a male example.

Tough to say for sure from that pic, but I would say it's more than likely a lady. Check out the nodes (connections) at the top of the plant where the new growth is, if you see 2 slim white hairs coming out of a little pear-shaped nub, it's female. If you see any clusters of football-to-round-shaped balls, it's a dude. If you can get more pics of the top of the plant, maybe we could tell for sure.

clones of the new growth
I found that the reveg process takes 2 weeks...that was with most of the plant still intact.

I was looking for balls...plural, but what I have is definitely a single round ball with 1 thick green hair....none of my suspected males have multiple balls. The females have that pear shaped nub w/2 fine whiteish hairs....I'm 99% sure on these.

I am still on 24/0 & don't want to change that so I'm willing to wait it out, just hoping to kill off the males for more room in my limited area.

too early to tell.

I have a Lowryder #2 that showed a football shape thing at a node, I was so dissapointed, but wasnt 100% sure...then a week later, some pistills showed at the higher node. So, dont be go killing the plant guessing it's a boy unless you are totally sure.

27 days from seed is quite hard to define sex for most of cannabis. Normally they show sex after week 6.

What strain is it??

NL x C99 from Joey Weed. My females are really popping pistills without a doubt, but I can wait a while longer to make sure on the suspected males.

Any guess as to how much longer to make a more positive ID?

Well, if your at 4 weeks in I would wait for 6 weeks to make the final judgement. Of course if you flowered them you could certainly tell after 1-2 weeks.

I'm looking for a good mother to start cloning, so I guess it's wait & see.

Am I looking for more balls to form to confirm it's a male? I have 3 others showing the same "symptoms", but none further along than this one.

Looks to me that it MIGHT be a male, but i think it's too early to say for sure.
