I was wondering if there was a point where topping could hurt a plant.
For a variety of reasons, my next room will be split with plants that have had an almost 3 month veg time, with some that will have only had about 6-8 weeks.
To clarify I have some which are about 1-1/2 feet, and will switch them to 12/12 the same day as a batch I just put in the clone machine this week.
The day I am going to put them on to 12/12 is about 6 1/2- 7 weeks away.
Can I just cut the 1 foot plants almost in half? And trim all surrounding shoots, to give the others a chance to root and get started? I'd like them to bush out a but anyway....
Is there anything else I could do to stunt their growth without harming them too much? Could I just give them a very small amount of light?
I am growing hydro on tables...with hydroton as my medium.
Strains are: the white, chem d, cheese, and jacks cleaner
If there is no safe way to do this, I always have the option of just having 15-20% of my room being monsters compared to the rest...
Thanks for any answers or ideas
