G Mail used to put ads relevant to my msges in a column to the right. They don't do this anymore and I wonder if I now operate my daily life at a level Google does not interact with. Most likely a level which does not lead to wealth for them. Like my msges and activities are personal not commercial.
I think a help to this is using the highest level of security Firefox can offer. Not too many cookies become lodged in my PC. I also run 'Security Badger' which filters cookies and lets me know I 'm being surveiled.
Food for thought is that Firefox tells me ICMag is not secure. That further 'permissions' are required from ICMag to Firefox to up security. Or that ICMag requires higher grade encryption. I 'm not exactly sure about this issue.
However, after recently watching a documentary about the downfall of Silk Road ... that no warrant was issued for the surveillance ... and that the Court would not allow Dread Pirate Roberts to question the evidence of undercover operatives ... it seems clear to me that we electronic-age individuals have little power.
