Is OGK still the most sought after cut(s) on the boards? ?

hrpuffnkush- that is the finished nug from the cut that you were saying could have possibly been "manic" or whatever it was when I posted pics a few weeks ago...I don't know if "manic" is an OG cut, but the cut in those pics was straight up clean more fuel less lemon sweet OG goodness. I grew up and have lived in so cal most of my life, and know a real OG fwiw, been smoking og long before I was on the boards or growing more than a bagseed under a floro, that OG was exactly like the OG that I use to pay $70 an 8th for from 03-06...started seeing more variation in OG after 06, more and more of it was darker green and more lemony after that time.

I honestly didn't have enough time with that cut to know if the purp that I got was an anomaly or if it was something that could have been easily reproduced.

I do know that it was better than ALL other OG's I've grown and tried, and I don't make those types of statements.

If only it were still just og kush. Damn seed companies. Sts and colloidal silver have ruined the market for true og cuts.

the og name fuckery started by people just popping bagseeds from OG, the cut was held super tight up until like 08 and bagseeds were the only avenue that OG plants could be had...seed co's didn't really start putting out og in seed form until there was already like 20 different OG cuts floating around... when I first started seeing og seed co's were still a few years behind...Ograskal seeds hadn't started yet, cali connection hadn't started yet, and most of the dutch seed co's were all working on hazes, and diesels and general hybrids...BOG's gear was some pure unobtainium around that time.

I'm curious to what cut that is too ....

Original og's don't have purple in them , nither does original chems....

also, here's a shot of chem 4, just for the sake of rebuttal ;) I suppose others experience may vary.

Maybe you could shed some light on my skywalker cut, it's supposedly moonshines cut that he uses for karma bitch and 501 og, I was expecting a stretchier plant, she looks nothing like my sfv, has way bigger fans and a tree trunk for a main stem when you compare it to the sfv, also grows much slower, and it's growing straight up not all branchy like the sfv. I'm guessing what I have isn't the real skywalker from out west? Ill post some pics of her in veg later

all I can say is look up pics of the g-cut aka skywalker OG. every legit OG I've ever ran more or less grew the same way; lanky, viney, stretchy, floppy with some variation although one would generally have no problems running a light of mixed og clones in terms on canopy control.

Its cool wheez were from same hood.... Never ment what you had wasn't top of the line , just that I've never seen purps in the og until 01/02 ish ... Chems don't get purple, elite genetics did make some chem cross's back in the day that were off the hook and had purps in them ,

Check out twisted pleasures bud shots, he makes plenty of green strains colorful. It's all environment. My Underdawg got some purple in her last run, and I haven't seen that in five years of growing her

Color is a lack of base cations...chlorophyll is green period. Fruit may be colored...leaves/petioles/stems should not be. Sap pH analysis will be less than 6.4 in such a plant...I will bet you. Some of these hybrids do not take up nutrients well through the roots...a lack of professional breeding. How is it gsc preforms better under less light? The roots cannot take up enough base cations to match the energy of intense lighting.

Not the popular opinion but give it some thought...make up your own mind

A very interesting concept joe, makes perfect sense. I've been thinking about the forums light sensitivity, I'm probably gonna put her in the raised back row of the vert stadium I just set up

not to argue at all, but what relationship if any is there between what you're saying about lack of base cations in an annual flower and the natural fall colors of perennial trees? why is it that if chlorophyll can only be green, that species like a Japanese maple is able to photosynthesize and grow? there are many species of plants that don't have a bit of green on them yet they are able to photosynthesize.

Mine is sitting right under 2 750 de gavitas with no I'll effects bigger then golf ball rock hard nugs dripping in resin first run with her, I really don't think it's the light that effects the outcome but I really don't know alot

Day 28 lowers I got this as fire

It might have been mikenite, don't quite remember, but somebody posted pictures showing she stacks better when she's further from the light, but gets more resinous when the lights are closer. Whoever it was the pic of the forum grown farther from the light had crazy stacking, the plant had kolas, albeit skinny, but definitely stacked kolas. I don't know about cation uptake but I've always thought that purple plants photosynthesize poorly

Hey Stanky does your Skywalker grow a lot like Master, only a little taller/bigger? Have that straight Kush flavor as opposed to any lemon or fuel?

I haven't flowered the skywalker cut I have yet. It's growing identical to the confidential cheese right next to it, tree trunk main stem, dinner plate sized fans that are a really dark piney green, I'm almost sure it's not the "real" skywalker og cut, but the source claimed it was moonshines cut from rare dankness that he used to make karma bitch, so they either misrepresented it or moonshine uses one of the skywalker(from dp) x og cuts that float around. Either way I'm gonna keep her because I knew someone else from Colorado that had skywalker og and Scott's og cuts straight from moonshines house years ago, and I remember his mother plant looking nothing like an og, bu it yielded killer and tasted like smooth mossy earthy funk with a definite og pinesol smell, it tested at 25.4%thca and literally left everyone that smoked her in awe of how strong and tasty she was. I literally sold $50 eighths of it to other growers, it was that good. And this cats plants also grew slow and had a very dark color and indica look so fingers crossed I got the same cut
