IS MY DOG A PRACTICAL JOKER?

Today I was outside tending to some strawberry plants we have growing in a very large, waist high container. Many of the plants have been dying, I was pulling out the dead appearing ones and dropping them on the ground while I messed with the soil and added some nutrients and such.

I tucked the soil up nicely around the necks of the live ones and decided I would replant the others and see if I could bring them back to life.
I picked them up and gently loosened the root balls and replaced them in the container. I put away my tools, washed my hands and went about my business.

I looked down and see another strawberry plant on the ground and figured I had overlooked it. I get my tools, replant it and leave again.

I did this 3 more times before I figured out my dog was coming behind me and pulling one out and dropping it on the ground! When I finally figured it out, I looked at him he knew I knew!

I swear when he walked away, his tail swinging and a prance in his step I thought I heard, "heheheheheheh"

That's classic. Ever since I fed my dog sweet potato skins from a baked sweey potato I'd eaten he has started digging up sweet poato plants I plant in my garden and eating them. He would eat about a dozen raw sweet poatoes at a time. I'm not even gonna bother this year. He's already fat enough. He's such a piggie!

I got my hands on a 2 gram nugget of some 'old school' skunk awhile back. Since I considered it a special moment I figured I'd let my Dad's Scot Terrier give it a sniff. That little bastard grabbed it from me and took off running. ( Chasing a Scot Terrier is similiar to chasing a chicken-running full blast bent over.) Before I could tackle him he ate it. He slept 12 hours straight. So hard he pissed himself. I didn't even get to taste it.:jawdrop:

PS- I let the Scot live. After all, he's a dog.

pomh....thats a funny story up there^^^^^^:D
on a serious note: i could believe that the dog is a "joker". some dogs are just way to smart. mine does stuff all the time that would make one wonder what the hell is going on inside their head!!! there are millions of these kinds of stories from dog owners too!

If you have the time for one, I highly suggest getting one.
This is the first dog I ever had and he is great company, he makes me laugh and he loves me.
He went from this ^ to this in 4 months. 6 pounds to 55 pounds.

haha what a cute dog! I definitely know what you guys mean about dogs doing weird stuff that leaves you wondering if they're perhaps a little smarter than we think they are...lol. I swear my dog smirked at me and laughed before walking away one time....
