Hey ya'll I have a question to ask regaurding outdoor growing. Me and a buddy was smoking some good bagseed type pot in a field and we just threw the seeds out as we found them in the bag, this was probably about 2 months ago. Well we went crow hunting in this same field yesterday and noticed 4 marijuana plants growing where we threw the bag seeds. 3 of them are showing signs of female the 4th one hasn't shown any signs of anything yet, and it's the smallest of the 4. The 3 that is showing signs look like they have been flowering for about a week or so, but they are seeming to flower awfully slow. I'm in a new location in east tn, and i'm really not sure when the first frost is.

Do you all think these plants will mature before the frost hits? Usually when i've done outdoor growing I would plant a couple days after the last frost and let it grow all spring/summer and in fall it would flower. And by this time it would have already had buds on it noticably. I'm hoping they will mature, but i'm worried they won't have time if the frost hits. Where I was the first frost would be some where around an average of 10/23 and it shouldn't be to far off here either, but i'm not sure. If the calculations are right that should leave give or take 40 days left for flowering, thats close to 6 weeks left. Also, I know it depends greatly on the strain of what i'm growing where some mj strains don't take long where others do. This one seems to be a slow plant. Also for flowering what is the min and max averages keeping in mind all strains are different. So what do ya'll think as far has what i've decribed thanks. :joint:

You should go back out and fertilize the plants you have growing now with some bloom fertilizer. Just get some at the garden dept that is for bloom and that should help them mature. As far as throwing out more seed it's just bag seed so you will do a experiment and see what happens.

hey bro ,, cool finding plants isn't .. you prolly have seed from a mex, type plant or ,, some sativa strain ,, in easten tnn.. you prolly have time to get the to do a lil something .. we don't get frost on the southern part of the east coast till late in the year sometimes november ,, and if the plants are big enougfh the firt frost won't kill them .. so you got about 60 or 70 more days ,, and that could be enough .. but i would get some bloom food on them.

Thanks you two. Yeah back ago when I used to grow, they would have already been budding already. Especially when I grew them indoors under 24/0 then dropped em out lol. Mostly I planted clones though and didn't bother with seeds. Not saying I haven't done seeds though. Anyways I know the first frost won't kill em if their big enough but I'm hoping they don't become mosters or the man who owns the fields will see it and chop them down. The smallest one is 3 ft where as the majority is 6 ft. They are sativa dominate. Far as mex crap I don't think its that this was 350 an oz and the guy that got it for us always ask that dude who grows it to throw in some buds that he pollinated for seeds so he can get his own going. The bud had a purple pink tint to it. Anyways an update. The day after I wrote this I did go back and put some bloom fert on it. The flowers do have pink color pistils. They are small but they are starting to fill out all around the plant. You can also see it's in stretching mode and about finished stretching. I remember back in the day i'd plant clones that budded quickly and i'd throw black buckets on each clone to make it start the process lol. Its a pain to remove each bucket but I could early flower them babies to get them going quickly. Especially if I had 50 odd plants around the area of certain fields heh. I wish my digi camera didn't bust in a parkling lot in the mnts or I'd take some pics. I hope it won't frost until later in the months of nov. like it does sometimes around the area I was in. If it does start frosting I might try to tie it down some and just throw a clear tarp over em at night, but then he could see that also grr. I'm just going to wait it out and see how it goes. Peace & thanks

Maybe you can borrow someones camera, the next time you go out. I bet they you will be real pretty, we all would like to see them. I did one time have a plant that turned purple but it was taken before I could harvest it.
