Is it safe to get grow equipment at Amazon?

Well I hate to bring up a post out of the wood works, but this post relates to me atm.

I have ordered over $15,000 worth of grow equipment online in the last 7 years, not only from Amazon but other companies as well. Same goes for seeds and even clones and thus far have been a-ok.

However, I placed an order on Amazon around 3 days ago for two 8 bulb t4 grow lights for vegging and did not get word to the third party company quick enough to throw some discreet boxing or wrapping on the 2 items. Fuck me silly...

My concern is that I had a delivery made yesterday from UPS for some clothes that the wife had ordered and you would never guess who was riding shotgun in the passenger seat for the holiday help. A local sheriff deputy, I mean WTF?!? This is a small town, everyone knows everyone and I am in Ky which as we all know is definitely not a legal state by any means.

Should I be concerned? Of course this is bullshit, also have 3 more huge air cooled grow hoods on the way as well that I'm not sure if they come in discreet packaging either. I have got packages back in the day that were not discreet from Amazon and third party sellers but I know the lights I am receiving today are not discreet.

Another funny thing, both t5 lights were shipped prime from Cali, together. One had a delay in shipping, and is supposed to be delivered tomorrow and the other is "out for delivery" to arrive today by 8:00pm and it is 6:00pm already. I get tons of packages delivered to my home on a bi-daily basis and never had one delivered this late...

Yeah... you know what is going through my mind right now, I'm sure. Mr. UPS man and his little helper Mr. Sheriff deputy are sitting at the local sheriff department plotting a raid. Ahhh fuck my life.

Well not 5 minutes after the post I got the package delivered. Yeah, a local sheriff deputy handed me the package and right on the front of the brown box in big lettering it said "T5 8 bulb fluorescent grow light". He will be handing me another tomorrow and then in the next week he will be handing me 2 6 inch Dominator hoods which are huge as hell and from a third party seller. Man I am one nervous mother fucker right now.

The sherriff was their to smell your house the grow equipment isnt enough evidence but a weed odor is for a search warrant.

He did not seem to have any interest in coming to my door. I walk out to the road and grab my packages. I have 2 rottweilers that don't really care for people other than me and the family.

But yes in this state, in this town (if you are not from here it is extremely easy to not understand) if they have clues or thoughts enter their head that you are growing they will plot things. This ain't California or Colorado, not even close.

Two things that the sherrif could be up to, doing controlled deliveries, lots of opioids being shipped and could be riding along to deliver these to people or just trying to show presence to deter people from ordering that type of thing. Building case and such.

They may have nothing better to do and is helping out (unlikely)

For Kentucky I think I would look at like how they treat moonshiners, do they show presence for deterring moonshiners, not just the cops but the alcohol control agents?

If you have doubts, follow your gut and clean up shop, plant a shit load of vegetables, some tomatoes, peppers, lots of small leafy greens and rock that for awhile, if anyone comes knocking for a cannabis grow you show them with pride your organic veggies that you grow to live healthier and not paying for pesticide laden vegetables etc, make it seem like you are very passionate about it without being preachy, offer to show them how easy it is for them to do themselves but stop short of being inviting to show more people or setting it up for them, directing to websites of others doing the same things would be a great way to show them you want them to learn but not have involvement.
