Is it Rippers or Leo?

I know exactly how you feel having to walk away from what was once a secure spot, Nog.

I recently had to abandon a flowering, almost ripe crop located on a hidden jungle swamp island, not due to human interlopers, but due to life-threatening biological warfare waged on me by nearly invisible insects, whose details I won't elaborate on, but whose effects made my decision to write off that crop a very easy one to make, albeit with serious regrets.

I don't know; couldn't you have covered up against those insects?
You know, long pants and sleeves, mosquito net draped over you?
I mean if it was almost ripe, why didn't you go in and harvest it?

Or is there more to this story?

But yes, us guerillas live life, that's for sure.

Great minds think alike, Nog. I have been giving some serious thought to suiting up hazmat style for one last foray into the red zone to make a hasty harvest, but I will still take some more time to lick my wounds and build up my nerve for that nail-biting trip, since I did have the bejeebers scared out of me there, fer sure.

I'll say rippers then nog especially if u have had rip issues in the past. I shoulda just said that to begin with mate. But honestly if you got these crazy bush master skills why on the forums asking members what they think? Track them tracks stake out do what's gotta be done.

Well I went out early this morning and dug them up and moved them to another spot.
I would like to see the rippers face when they go there and find they are gone.
Ha ha rippers; thought you were going to get a shitload of buds for nothing didn't you?
Guess what, you are going to get nothing. Ha ha.

Pity that spot has gone down though; this morning after digging up the plants I tidied up the site and then had a last look around and I was thinking, this is a good spot.
Maybe I can use that spot sometime in the future; maybe after a couple of years.
Maybe in that time the ripper will have been run over by a bus.

You should plant some vege's in that spot so that they go back and can get some nutrition, they have put a lot of hard work in trying to be lazy they should at least eat healthy.

Ok, I have found who the ripper is, and it's a ripper not leo.

So as I said about 12 days ago I dug up the plants at that site and moved them.
What I did was transplant them into pots, they were about 2 foot tall at the time, so I transplanted them into pots and then hid them in tall grass.
See I didn't have somewhere permanent to put them yet, so the plan was leave them in the pots and let their root system re-grow after being dug up and transplanted, and then move them far away when I had found a spot.
I was going to move them in about 5 days from today actually.

Now there was a second spot as well which at the time the ripper hadn't found.

But then about a week ago I visited it and the "tells" were down, so I know the second spot had been found too.
So the plan was to dig those one's up as well and move them also, but I wanted to get the ones from the first spot to their final home before moving the ones from the second spot.

So two days ago I went into the woods early in the morning just as it was getting a bit light, for the purpose of moving the ones from the first spot, which as I have said I dug up and put into pots, to an area close to the start of the trail into the woods, so I could come and pick them up quickly in a few days.
As I was coming into the woods I noticed someone had set up a homemade tent not far away, so I though I should check it out first to make sure no homeless person was sleeping there. There was no-one there so I thought ok, maybe just one of those people who lie in the woods looking at porno magazines and jerking off, so I thought that sort of person wont go wandering around much.

So I went and got the plants that I had dug up from the first spot and moved them to an area near the start of the trail.
Then I set up a tell near them.
This was two days ago.

So yesterday morning I went early and checked them and the tell was still in place so no-one had found them.
Then this morning I went very early to check on them, and as I was walking into the woods I saw next to the makeshift tent I told you someone had set up, I saw a guy who I think was naked and he appeared to be having a wash, lathering soap over himself.
So I thought ok, looks like a homeless person is living here.

Then I went to check on the plants in the pots and as I approached I checked for the tell and it was down. I think I can tell you what the "tells" are now, as I am out of that area now so it doesn't matter if rippers know what to look for. The "tells" I use are cotton strung between trees or bushes. When someone goes there they walk through the cotton and break it, so you know someone has been there.
So the tell was down and I thought this doesn't look good, so I went and checked for the plants and they were gone.

So I went and checked on the plants at the second spot and they were still there, but I thought I have to get them out of here right now.

So I went home and got what I needed, a hand trowel to dig them up, plastic bags and ties to tie around the root ball so the soil wouldn't fall off the roots, lots of water for me.

So I did that and then went back to the woods.
I walked into the woods and when I was getting near the second spot I stopped to have something to eat and a drink of water.
About 5 minutes later a guy came walking slowly along the trail towards me.
When he was about 10 metres away or so he saw me so then he walked off the trail into the woods, walking slowly.
I could tell he was the ripper.
I watched him closely, I though he might be trying to detour around me and go to the second spot.
But he walked into the woods a bit and walked around a little bit and then walked back to the trail and walked slowly towards me.
I got my big commando knife out of my pack and put it in my pocket in case he attacked me.
He didn't come too close, he stopped when he was about 5 metres away.
I said hows it going buddy in a tough voice. I wanted to let him know he would be up for a fight if he got smart.
He said does this trail go to so and so.
I said no, you have to go back the way you came.
He then walked off really slowly, and I crouched down so I could see through the trees better and watched like a hawk where he went, as I didn't put it past him to circle around me. But he seemed to be leaving the woods.

So then I went to the second spot and dug up the plants, about 3 foot tall Afghani #1's, and wrapped their root balls tightly in the plastic bags and then slowly exfiltrated out of the woods.

So anyway those ones are now far away and there is no chance of the ripper finding those ones.

Which leaves the issue of the ones from the first spot, which as I have said I dug up and put into pots ready to be moved out of that area.

Now I think the ripper was the homeless guy I saw having a wash outside the makeshift tent this morning, when I saw the guy having a wash outside the tent I didn't look too long, plus there were trees and bushes in the way, but I think that guy was the one that came along the trail towards me.

If so then the ripper is homeless and living in the woods, which is relevant as the ripper has no home to take the plants to, and no car that would enable him to take the plants far away, so he has to leave the plants in the woods.

So what I'm thinking is he has just moved them somewhere else in the woods, and it's a small woods so hopefully I will find them eventually, just got to do the leg work.

So anyway I have saved half my outdoor grow, just remains to be seen if I can get the other half back.

entertaining story. really like the part about people jerking off in the woods.

Missed that part.

Caught it when I re-watched the first episode of Breaking Bad though. :woohoo:

It's good that it wasn't LEO. I think.

For the homeless guy living in the woods, what if he had gone a different route. He could have left a hidden note on the plants asking for some manicuring work.

I have no idea how I would dry pot living in a tent without electricity in the winter.

Seems inevitable that what was taken would get moldy.

That gives the homeless guy an incentive to sell it.

So, who is buying fresh wet pot ? That might be another part of the same story.

No, they are in veg, not budding. And the ripper seems to have been showing discipline and not pulling bits off to dry out and smoke. Seems to be waiting for the big harvest at the end.

There is a C-Plus still out there in the ground; I will just pull that one up and throw it away;don't want the ripper to get anymore. Anyway I grew C-Plus the last two years so I'm not that worried about losing that one.

Well now that I don't have to spend my time in those woods watering and tending plants, or checking on patches I will have free time to comb those woods looking for my plants, which I'm sure are stashed out there.
My theory is he wont stash them near my growspots, as he will think I might go back to those areas, so I think they will be in the other direction.
And as I think he only ripped them yesterday then I don't think he will have had time to move them too far away.

there are people who go into the woods and build tents for the sole purpose of jerking off? Wow, are these people 12 years old?

quite a story, potentially more drama
trying to think like a ripper, i would not be hanging around an area where i've been effectively caught
some growers have been known to seek what they believe is fair vengence
