The thing I'm seeing is nobody is actively trying, or even seemingly remotely interested in, fixing anything.

I doubt it gets better.

That's just not what anybody seems to want.

Check out third party organizations. You will find by far the most active grass roots efforts there. Plenty of people are trying. The media doesn't do a good job publicizing that fact though.

It seems against the very nature of our nation's "beliefs".

Is it shocking that everyone knows it and does nothing to stop it?

That again seems against the very nature this country was founded under.

people with money set it up that way. people without money can't change it except with pitchforks, torches, and loaded guns... we may yet live to see a second american revolution, resulting in the deaths/relocation to other continents of many rich people.

Either that or the liberal blue states, the ones with most of the money paying for red state farm subsidies, hand outs, military bases, etc, these states could just tell the rest of them to fuck off. We're not paying for that BS and being told what to do any more. See yaaa. Like everywhere else in America, the guy with the money calls the tune. That would work.
