Only problem with auto's is if you fuck up the start, you'll yield considerably less, whereas with photo's you can just veg them a bit longer and flip them when you've got it sorted out.
On the other hand photo's are light sensitive, often meaning light leaks, no matter how tiny, can herm a whole grow. Been there :-/ so make sure your tent is light proof and don't interrupt the dark cycle. Timers or powerfailure and messing the schedule up can also take you by surprise.
