ive got my plant that i just scrogged and the pistils are starting to turn brown..but it doesnt look like bud yet...i found a seed growing on it the other day and plucked it (could this be a hermie or do female plants produce only one seed ?)

that was taken on saturday....as u can see they isnt any buds on it..or im just nto seeing them LOL..this is my first grow

when i started the plant i didnt have any lights so it was growing in a window and grew like crap haha...am just curious if it is even worth my time to keep oit or just start over...and when does the stem or "cola" get more budded? maybe im just jnot waiting long enough for it to start that but i thought when the hairs turn brown ur plants getting done

any advice would be greatly appreciated

females can produce many many seeds, if this is the one plant you have, its hermie. Go read about mj, seeds are bad.
More info is needed iif you want more answers..

well i did have 4 plants growing from seed...2 were males so i plucked them long ago..then the 3rd one was female but turened hermie(how does that hapen) and had this one fem left...but the other day i saw only one seed and i plucked it and none have grown back since....

and there is a few brown hairs on every "ball of pistils" (dont knwo what to call the nodes with pistils on them lol) id say about 20% just by looking at it with the naked eye...

this is just a starter plant to learn how to grow and what not to do so im always reading/asking things as i think of them :)

Did you start with female seeds? If so you got some male flowers on it and you didn't pick them off so they pollenated at least some of your plant.

I would read and start again once you have the basics down. They sell MJ Botany at Barns N Nob..and I am sure many other fine book stores for around $20..

right now ive only got 2 flouros on them..one cool white for veg and one warm white for flower...but the hood is almost right on top of the plant...heat isnt a problem as i have a HUGE fan blowing on it to keep it cool and vent in new air

Well, I would advise you to buy some better lights if you're serious about growing. Either that or grow outdoors....

after posting on another board as well as this one im thinking the brown hairs are from stress form being put onto the screen...as for lighting im saving up for it now..should have ti by next grow

The brown pistils are because your plant got pollenated either by itself or one of the males you pulled, premature turning of the pistils is a sure sign of pollenation

That screen is way too tight for scrog, and I've seen pictures of the whole setup, is it lightproof? Does light get in there during the dark period? This can cause stress on the plant, which may lead to hermies, which it seems like had happened to both of your females.

when i pull the blanket down it is light proof.i open it up when the lights are on to let more air in and kep it cool...

not necessarly, I have a current outdoor grow of Durban Posion and the pistils turned brown in the 4th week of flower. NO seeds, even though it freaked me out. then they started to grow more bud mass. I just harvested a couple of the plants and no seeds at all. I had ask a few people and they said that is normal with some strains to do that and DP was one of them.

yep, I have that too. He should 've worded it better. He means the preflower pistils...

Now my outdoor Dutch Passion Feminized MasterKush is also putting out brown pistils :chin: hope she isn't a hermie because I took a clone of her that is soon to be flowered indoors.. Are brown pistils common after 3-4 weeks of flowering outdoors?

If your pistils are turning during veg your plant has some kind of problem I would think
