I wondered the same thing, honestly although it seems like it would be illegal to use a weed leaf coated in clear resin, I sort of wonder if a cop would really spend the time to check if it was a "real" weed leaf or not. I guess they could just take it if they even wondered?

yea well chong got time for bongs....and you want to sell a weed leaf? i would use legal hemp and have the leaf cut out of it... great idea btw you could sell a shit load at mardi gras

Why not use a leaf that looks almost exactly like a pot leaf but is actually legal? There is a plant....I forget the name..but at Lowes garden center they sell them in season and it looks just like pot leaves...amazing similarity. Do a google and I am sure you can find it..but why not grow a few of those in the yard, right in front, and use the leaves for your project and if cops get suspicious and see the plants, when they come look and see the Lowes tag around the base and see its an ornamental, they will never see another pot plant at your house again, no mater WHAT you plant around back.." Oh yeah, thats the house that has plants that look like pot but is not"...and you smile and garden!!

Japanese maple....thats the one I could not recall....sold everywhere and when they are small the leaves look just like pot..there is your project...safe and legal and close enough to pass, especially for a drunk at Mardis Gras.

if it can't be tested they can't prove if it's cannabis or not. it'd be a nice change from other acrylic baubles and i'd bet they'd sell well! give me a holler if you come up with a method to manufacture them...i make & sell jewelry at art & gem shows and also do a couple of biker rallies every year where i'm sure they'd be a hot item as keychains, earrings, belt buckles, bolo ties, etc...

what bothers me are the acrylic-encased-animals...tarantula's, scorpions, baby rattlesnakes etc. i've seen them at a lot of shows and a lot of truckstops and quickie-marts sell them around here and it's rather sickening...imnsho...such a waste of life. :(

It would be safe to encase a real leaf in plastic....if a cop tried to remove it, they would destroy it in the process, and even if they got it out, it would not register THC...a leaf does not have enough to matter, especially after god knows how long encased in plastic.

Actually, encasing it may stop the breakdown of the THC and preserve it longer. However, like you said, it would P.I.T.A. for the cops.

Just make sure you dont use like a crazy sugar leaf, like on the homepage of ICmag, lmao. That would be a bit difficult to explain (although it would be a cool ass keychain, perhaps the coolest.)

Cool idea.
I'm sure somewhere out there is an assclown that would try to make a big deal about it if they found out it was a real leaf, hopefully that won't happen though.

If you'll be selling them in public I would make other items as well without the leaves and then have them all on the table together. I think if EVERYTHING on the table had a leaf there might be someone who would get uptight about it. But if theres a bunch of different items it would probaly not even warrant a second look.

If in any way legal then I think you're best off being able to document that those leaves are in fact from a legal grow of legal, non-thc cannabis.
If you can't do that then you might very well be incriminating yourself.

Only do this if you plan to never grow smokeable weed again...

for precautionary purposes, try not to use your real personal info when selling your product...just in case it might come back to bite you in your ass
