Yes, there are bugs and pieces of blackberry plant.

Also that's a reason to cook it thoroughly.

Definitely any algae I eat myself I will try to mono-culture.

We already feed cultured yeasts to cattle, I am sure this is already happening or been tested already on livestock as well.
One thing tho.. I would try to be sure of what kind I am growing before eating it. Other than the risk to your or your pets safety with trying it blindly, I kinda like the ideea!
