the exchange rate for the british pound today at the best exchange place is 1.02, that is very low and makes coming here very expensive for the brits

Was slightly worse when I came over in Dec, we're just going to have to pull our pants down & take it - it's all about self catering & Albert Heijn to cut costs!

Know how you feel on the exchange rate IMO its a straight 1 for 1. Gord the goon should be pulling my motorhome like a pony all the way there. The only good thing there ever was with the pound was its value abroad.

We can't expect it to get any better with the shower of idiots running things just now. The Euro is bad enough, but I'm meant to be going to Asia & China again in November. Last time at 15 to 1 everything was great even when you went for a western meal like pizza for 150 yuan that only = a tenner. Already its at 9 instead of 15 and if it gets any lower Asia will have to be off. and then I think it should be :dueling: for the job of Prime Meathead (PM)

lived there for 5 years and never rode a bike once
I prefered powered transport, Brummers rule :joint:

even managed to get stopped twice for speeding :noway: doing 45 in a 30
played the dumb tourist routine in a broad Scott's accent and get off with a warning
