iPhone keeps record of everywhere you go

M

Mountain

Hmmm. So it keeps track of your movements. Big deal. It's not shared with anyone. I downloaded the iPhone Tracker and got a kick out of seeing where I've been over the last 6 months. Big Deal. I didn't share this with anyone.

If you think it such a problem then down load the app to wipe that data file OFF your personal device.

I mean wtf? If you lose your phone and you partake in illegal activities, then you can remotely wipe it also.

If Apple or the carrier were sharing this info then you would have a cause. They don't. Find another cause.
Yeah basically that. I love my iPhone and have no worries.

Why get one when The HTC Thunderbolt and the Motorola Droid X are technically superior? I do like the Iphone though.

Yeah big-brother ish, but i think they are just a trendy tech/computer company with innocent intentions. You never know though, I know the governm3nt works veryyyyy closely with cell providers, as one of VZdouble you's biggest employer is the US Govt and im talking all parts of that. Best be believe uncle sam has an eye on you, you;d be foolish to think its not possible, even the microphones on our phones can record what you're saying and store it even when the phone is off !

There was a big mawfia case where the feds used this to bust em, craziness.

No cool smartphones for ya if your in a non med state.

Be smart:)

What if your phone is stolen, and the file is stolen before you know about it?

What if I get hit by lightning? Or a car maybe.

I dunno. Sorta sounds like the government, looking for a fix for every possible situation even when there isn't a problem. Thus we are broke.

Oh, and the HTC is a nice phone also, but if you believe that google isn't tracking ALL your info then you are naive.

Google is the KING of tracking all info. How do you think they get their traffic data. It tracks your phone back at google headquarters and even measures your speed.... thus the green or red along freeways.

Apple does not collect even a fraction of the data google does.

if your iphone is "jailbroken" there is an app called untrackerd that continously deletes this data...

I'm aware that Google tracks also, but this is a bit different. The file is on your phone. I would not want anyone to get their hands on my phone with that kind of information on it. My phone was recently stolen, so it DOES happen. Major hassle in itself, but if it has all your tracking info for the last year, it could become more than just a hassle, depending on your circumstances. For this reason, I use a crap phone, and don't plan on "upgrading" anytime soon to anything by Apple or Google.
