That's really not a bad price for that system when compared with how much other companies are charging for their systems. You could certainly build this for cheaper, but not much less than $50 unless you have some parts lying around. A black container is likely $5 to $10, neoprene inserts are about $14 for that many unless you cut them out of pool noodles, and a pump with venturi is likely at least $10. That's about $20 to $30 at least for the system plus the time to put it together. I'm not saying it's difficult or not worth the savings, but for someone looking for a simple solution, that's a pretty good price.
