Introducing Sweet Afghani Bubba!!

Almost three weeks of 12/12 and all is well. Haven't changed over from veg nutes yet because all the plants keep yellowing a little to early for me but flowers are coming on steady so it's probably time but I may have to add some veg with the flower nutes or I'm afraid yield might suffer. S.A.B #1 update

S.A.B #1 update



S.A.B #1 is the frostiest of the 3 phenos I've got flowering. Flowers production is increasing daily. Buds don't have a strong smell at the moment but while doing some trimming of lower branches I could recognize that familiar S.A.D bud scent with every cut.

S.AB #2 appears she will be the smallest yielding pheno of the three. She also has the appearance closest to the Bubba papa.

Last but certainly not least we have S.A.B #4. She resembles #1 but busier in structure. She has slightly more bud formation than #1 but with less frost on the buds at this point.

Thanks for the kind words Jaypp! Got plenty of seeds to go through to pheno hunt so I'm sure sooner than later I'll find the perfect mix of S.A.D and Bubba. Not in a position to quite keep a mommy yet but I can Def see that this cross has excellent potential! And the fact that I didn't have to bring them back from the brink of death like my S.A.D grow didn't hurt either!!

All phenos are looking very Bubba as far as plant and bud structure are concerned. I can also see more purple coming as we get into the plumping of the buds. S.A.B #1 has the yield, #2 has the frost, #3 probably grew out the most like Bubba. I remember Bubba being a fairly slow vegger but the S.A.D introduced some hybrid vigor it appears. Everything's moving right along! All 3 ladies are steadily putting weight on to their frost covered buds! Buds not smell too much to the moment. When I rub the stems and smell they all smell just like S.A.D. They should finish with some nice colors in the final product. Tips of the buds and leaves are turning more purple as the ladies continue to flower. It's Friday so pics will be up shortly!

S.A.B #1 is looking lovely! She's got the most frost out of the 3 ladies. By the way the couple of seeds you see being produced are from my Mental Floss male. I dusted everything in my cab with him. 1st attempt at purposely making seeds so I'm super excited!

S.A.B #4 doing her thing. Most colorful, strongest smelling, and biggest yield at this point. Hopefully the plants will really start swelling as we come into week 6 in a few days. Looking so forward to smoking up some S.A.B!!! See you next Friday for the next photo shoot!!!!

Thank you for the words of encouragement KM! Happy Accident indeed! I was doing a S.A.D thread last year when the accident occurred and I said back then that I felt something special could be found in this cross. Besides yellowing a little earlier sooner than I would like from me taking it easy on the nutes they have been problem free and super easy to grow!

Plants are happy! Beautiful colors popping up everywhere as they go into the finishing stages. As they are finishing they are taking on a mix smell of both strains which I'm happy about. S.A.B #4 more than the others. S.A.B #1 doesn't look like she's going to yield much but oh my is she frosty! Last leg of this run should be a fun ride so enjoy and keep it Sweet!!!

This pheno most resembles the S.A.D mother. Smell is actually like S.A.D with similar bud structure. Bubba seems to have added more color and frost but I think S.A.D is a bigger yielder.
