In a washing 'cycle', my washing machine has different phases. First is the 'washing or agitation' phase where the machine is filled with water and the agitator moves. Next is a 'rinse' phase, then a 'spin' phase. The rinse and spin phases are where the water drains, is refilled, spun, drained, etc.

How do you actually work the washing machine? I know you start with a 'washing' phase where it is filled with water/ice/bags. Now it runs for 6 or 30 mins. At that point, what do you do? Are you flipping the control to rinse and drain or spin and drain? Do you use the spin cycle?

Are there any internal mods required on the washing machines? or is it strictly adding an external hose with a flow control?

Fill the machine with a garden hose or bucket until its half full, then add ice and your 220µ filter bags. Check the water level, if needed add more. You should set the machine to the large load setting. Shut the top and set the dial to the regular wash cycle. If you have the water level accurate the machine will start. I use the regular wash mode for the agitation cycle. I like to run the regular wash mode until it gets to the rinse cycle then you can either turn it back to the start of the regular wash cycle for more agitation, or turn it to the spin cycle for draining. I use the spin cycle for draining.

Is the 23um silkscreen you use real silk? or do you use a synthetic screen?

Is there a source for framed screens in larger sizes like you use? or would I have to make my own?

Is 23um the measurement you buy the silkscreens in? or do I have to look for threads per inch and do some conversion?

What are the dimensions of the screens on the drying racks?

Thanks for sharing all the great pictures and knowledge on this subject!

I like to use 2/ Large Aqua Lab Technologies 220µ Filter bags with the Original Zipcro Locking Strap in each machine. With a total of 750 grams of Fresh dried Cannabis material in each bag, for a total of 1500 grams. Equal balance makes the machine work properly.

lets see some melty shots

I can do the same as Bubbleman an upload PERHAPS photos if you like?
For most of Bubbleman's photos are from PERHAPS, the real professional "FMCD" Photographer. I do not have time to sit and take 100's of photos.

Hello Takla, To extract the best quality resin and the most quantity of resin it is best if the plant has been properly dried before making your Ice-Water Extractions. Yes it is possible to extract resin from a fresh plant, but your final resin will end up always feeling wet. It is best is the resin has had time to dry on the plant before extracting it.

hillbillieonpcp - Haters should take a seat in the back and try to keep their opinions to themselves. “Melty” or not, the information presented in this thread is worth it’s weight in gold (or hash…whichever is easier for you to grow!) and I, for one, appreciate the thoroughness in presentation and the innovativeness of Ilife himself. If you can’t think of something positive to add, how about telling us your technique for getting your photos?

Ilife, props again - Butte :rasta:

sorry butte if you took my statements as "hater" statements...I'm a consumer, who also happens to LOVE hash....hash of all kinds....all I want to see is what most people who make hash want to see the smoking shots...weather its bubble or not...I have no real beef with ilife, I just asked a simple question, and got a smart alecky remark, so I in turn made a post about what the topic is all about, MAKING HASH....MELTY hash that is....my point was its not hard to take a melty pic, you don't need to be a professional photographer, to get shots like perhaps, yes you do...but any joe schome can take a picture....just thats it...no "hating" going on here....just a CONSUMER asking a question....
