sweet, it works. and i've got 2 of em. it says 160cfm, max boosted 250.. do you think one of these fans could cool a cooltubed 400W hps with low (60degree F) ambient temps?

thanks again

i would like to know the same answer to your question for sure, but i have seen it done with no problems . i've been looking into using the exact 6" suncourt inline fan that you have to cool the same setup in the near future. how loud is the fan at each of the speeds? i want to put it in a hydrohut mini, but i am concerned that the fan won't pull air through a scrubber as well as a blower. good luck with those fans though.

i don't know how to change the speeds, if you know i'll try them all out. whatever speed it was on when i tested it, it was pretty loud. i can't compare it to anything else because ive never used inline fans before.

its not like crazy loud, but it's impossible not to notice it. if you were watching tv a few feet away from the fan you would have to turn the TV up a bit

here's a picture for fun

Suncourt fans are from home depot, and they have a thermostat there for them. I don't know that is is a speed controller though.

Oh, and they don't have different speeds. The two numbers are the difference between the air it moves by itself, and how much air it moves if it's in a duct with air already moving through it

It tells you in the manual how to change speeds. I bought the same thing and it's kinda loud .. Also it leaks oil if you leave it on for 24hrs, so that could be a issue.

leaks oil??? that sucks real bad... how do you guys who use the suncourt recommend the solution to this problem? also, when you change speeds, all you do is switch wires. don't try to connect them together or your shit is gonna burn out real quick. can this fan handle scrubbing?
